ToT will host a tourney with a yet undefined prize but it will be sponsored by PokerStrategy in March. For this tourney, ToT will invite 29 players and 3 players will be able to qualify for this tournament through an open qualifier.
This qualifier will be played this Saturday, February 18th, at 14:00 CET. It is open to 128 people and the top 3 will get their ticket for the ToT invitational tourney. The tour is on Europe in channel Op ToT)Strafe(
The maps for this tournament will be Rush Hour, R-Point, Enmity and Arena. The matches will be best of 3, but there will be no loser bracket.
The maps will be picked like this: The player who is listed above the other player will be able to pick the first map, the second map will be chosen by the other and the third map will be imposed: Luna (for all matches)
In the final tournament, there will be a bunch of very skilled players participating, such as the best 8 players of team ToT, CocoA[CkG], eSa.Breakdown, eSa.Schnibl0r, MgZ)Eriador, Play.enemy, Play.Satanik, mYm.Yan[S2], Play.Strelok, mYm.Draco, mYm.A2 and mYm.Suncow.
The tournament will be hosted by ToT)Strafe( and supported / sponsored by www.pokerstrategy.de .
Oops, signups were done so fast, I didn't expect it to be full so fast. Well you can try to standin saturday. I dont expect all 128 to show up. 5 minutes late and I will replace a person right away. To keep things running smooth.
This tourney was filled with 128 players in less than 12 hours.......... I started thinking about making it 256 players, but that would really be impossible to manage im afraid. So you can try your luck as a standin, sorry
ToT players will be, mondragon odin trek daze midian testie sen timothy. and maybe 3 more if they qualify

'waste of time'
no point having a public tournament where only 3 of the entrants (ultimately) are going to be people who werent invited... is there even a point in including them in this otherwise gosu/private tournament?
thats why im arguing they should all qualify instead, it makes it a better tournament..

i think that if they care enough about the money to play in a tournament they're invited into and deserve to be on the invitational list they're currently on you must think they're worth inviting in the first place
therefore they would play a qualification tournament, and if any didn't then thats more efficient in making the tournament as a whole run smoothly
it doesn't make it a better tournament when many of the desired players would end up not playing in the final tournament.. besides it's a TOT invitational, meaning they want many tot players.

if you think that they couldnt be assed when money is involved i think u are wrong but it may be true so ok
regarding the tot invitational side of things, i think i was talking about it being a better/more efficent tournament as a whole rather than it having anything to do with tot members ;o I understand its a sweet promotional thing for tot, not a good deal for the people who were thinking of playing though as the chances of them qualifying are low and even then the chances of them winning it / getting a prize are even lower.
if someone isn't able to qualify he wouldn't have been able to win money either. honestly. at least not based on the current list of players participating in the satellite tourney. certainly some good players there, but none of the players on the current list are as good as the top 10 players already invited.
Lol the only reason I host this qualify tournament is because I want people to have a shot playing in a tournament with the best players atm. It makes no sense at all to make everyone qualify.........
The format for the tournament is great. The invited players are great.
How can it be a waste of time hosting a tournament with something on the line? It will only bring good things for community! Alot of people loves this chance to play with the big boys=p
Making a regular tournament will bring a few gosus but not even close dude
your saying, theres nothing wrong with this tournament and by itself that is correct
but as tournaments go, it could be a lot better. maybe u still dont understand, but ok my criticism was fine
its a waste of time because your having the best players playing vs the best players and only 3 goodish non gosu players playing vs gosu players for maybe 1 round or 2... the whole point in playing it is to win $ and with those types of players automatically entered into it there there is basically no chance for anyone who wasnt invited
i accepted what they were saying because the whole thing is essentially a big tot promotion, thats all
I know what Mr. UK is saying, but I would rather just watch those big names compete in the tourney and not risk not seeing them. The replays are going to be wonderful in the actual tourney.
Heck they don't have to have a qualifier at all and can just talk three top amateurs into playing in their tournament.
But this gives someone a chance to prove themselves and see if they are on these players level.
i dont even get what "Mr. UK" is getting at? its a tot-invitetournament and we can do what the hell we want right :O? its not obligation for anyone to try to qualify or even play in it --
