From what the development note in 2007 or 2008, Colossus is a unit derived from Reaver. So Reaver's successors in SC2 are reaver and colossus, but they later cute the reaver. Lol. Really nice decision.

colossus is directly from command and conquer tripod

Hero already beat legit good players in SC2, so it's weird to suppose the following, but... it really looked like he's not used to the crucial importance of deathball in SC2 - he thought he could split units to harass and still make a good fight; and then he also stuck himself in that choke, almost as if by the BW instinct that higher ground gives you better DPS than the opponent.

Cannons do nothing vs colossi/archon. In PvZ, spines only buy time vs stalkers (you HAVE to kill most of their colossi with corrupters if you decide to trade). If you trade your BLs and they still have 3+ colossi left, spines won't buy you much time.

All in all, colossus is a stupid unit.
You mean ESPORTS isnt a synonym for SC2? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -Proud owner of a Filco Majestouch 2 with Cherry Blue Switches- BW or SC2? Why not both?

Zealots don't do much against Colossi/Archon either, but people make them to tank. Are cannons so bad that it's better to just have a 2k bank, when you're on 4 mining bases?
