That was just plain stupid. Same distances from his main and his opponents main. Why didnt he take the left center expansion or the left backyard expansion. Like seriously, way too cocky after a good start...
He took that expo because he can just defend with his army whereas if he took the side expos he would need to have additional units not part of his army defending it to not get owned by reavers.
But it worked for Mini, why shouldnt it work for free as well?
Free didn't have reavers though. Also, I didn't pay attention to the early game but did Mini plan to take that side expo or was he forced into it by a contain from free?
free did have Reaver tech and yes it was forced by a contain, but I really think you can defend the left center expansion way easier then the right center expansion, even with your army. That would neglict the fact that it is harder to defend, since you can use your normal army for it and still be counterproof since the distances are much smaller for your then for your opponent.
