He told Sea that he was thinking about putting Fantasy in instead of him, but had hesitated because then it could be an SKT teamkill. It made it seem like he wanted Sea to beg him to change him anyways, regardless of the teamkill '-' God, Hydra acted like such an asshole.

Power trip. Complete power trip by Hydra and Great. And so unwise in many ways. What were they thinking when they gave him the talk-king voucher.
^ I think they gave it because by doing so, they softened the situation. Like.. it was Hydra's 'image/concept' for the ceremony and not him just acting like a...=X
It's just bad for the tournament. If it were possible for Bisu, Flash AND Jaedong to all advance if they played amazingly enough, I wouldn't say this. The burden would be on them to prove their merit.
Last season: Flash out in Ro32 Bisu out in Ro16
They have only themselves to blame. If Flash had gotten a seed then group D(eath) would have never happened.
Do you propose blatantly using name value as a criterion when it comes to the seeding process? Then things become no better than an invitational. Imo, Flash should be treated no better than anyone else who scrubbed out in Ro32.
He is being treated differently though, he's put in group D. As far as competition goes this is pathetic from both great and hydra, so selfish and insecure.
Wtf they need to revise the group picking systems. As of now the winners of the last MSL can abuse their powers too much; resulting in a D group of death

How do you mean, selfish?
Because they tried to knock out the best of the competition early? You think progamers have some kind of duty to create fair games and entertainment for the fans? They play to win in order to make a living. What should they have done differently, exactly, to ensure that they weren't being selfish?
They followed the rules given to them anyway, so don't complain about hydra and great.
Some of the whining in this thread is hilarious. Hydra's final pick troll was the best part of the show. I look forward to watching group D and to watching whichever players play their best make the final, not which ones have the most fanboys on TL
Actually I hope Great and Hydra meet again in the final just to elicit maximum rage from the people flipping their shit about the group of death. And that group will be a lot of fun to watch btw, each game will be so tense.

God no. I went to the last final, and it seriously wasn't worth going to watch live.

I'll complain all I want. I'm not saying that the choice isn't in their best interest, or that they are breaking any rules. I'm saying they are selfish and insecure.
The early stages in any tourney shouldn't have the top 3 players eliminating each other, it's simply bad for the sport and tournament. They are damaging the tournament so they can win an empty victory. Therefore they are selfish, which is not respectable.

What you're saying is that progamers should make it harder to get wins in order to entertain the fans. You're saying that progamers should play by a certain set of unwritten rules. When Bisu decided not to change group, he was being selfish. Did you lose respect for him? Did you lose respect for every single progamer who has ever made a decision in their career which helped them at the expense of entertainment? That's every progamer.
All of those players are there to win the tournament. Should a terrible player that no one likes roll over and forfeit a Starleague Ro4 match in order to make a more epic finals match?
If anything, blame the MSL selection process. Otherwise, I'd love to see the rules that you think players should abide by that aren't enforced by the MSL.
It's not a matter of respect for you though, it's just that you're angry that a good player will get knocked out early and you need someone to hate.
You gotta give great and hydra props they knew what they were doing LOL. Look at how they setup the groups. Almost every category has a zerg in it. And out of every one of those group the zerg has a high chance of making it to ro16. I can see why they didnt put fantasy in group D, its because he has a hard time against zerg unless he's on a good day so it didnt matter. Putting Sea in group D instead of stork was a good idea because stork doesnt seem to do well against zerg so even if he advances he'll face a zerg and have a high chance of losing.
High chances of knocking out top players with the way these two set it up: Only 2 of the top players are getting out of D. Fantasy might get knocked out against Zs. Stork maybe in ro16.
In other words both are trying to set up an zvz msl final again LOL.

Viewed according to previous results in the MSL, which is the only thing that matters in the seeding -- well, except for the reordering at ro8 -- the top 3 players aren't TBLS. Flash would be ~24th-32nd, Bisu would be 9th-16th, Stork 5th-8th, Jaedong 3rd/4th. True, this probably isn't representative of actual player skill, but then, SLs aren't about who's the best overall, but who's capable of performing during the season. Why should Flash be rewarded for pulling a chokemaster 9000 with an easy group?
I hate analogies, but in general, doing bad in a previous tournament puts you at higher risk of being knocked out in the subsequent one (see: tennis single-elimination brackets).
I wish you lot would stop being so disingenuous - its not about the games, you're just unhappy about your fan favorite being at risk of being knocked out early.

now if stork was put in group D, different words could be coming out of your mouth.....haha

Ahahah yeah they really hate MBCGame's ratings. I actually think this is hilarious. It's brutal, sure, but progaming has never been about having your hand held. The only one I feel bad for is Jaedong because he made it all the way to the semis and still couldn't avoid a hard group.

Nope...
They didn't set up the groups. There were zergs in most of the groups even before they made changes. They only set up group D.
They didn't put Fantasy in group D probably because Bisu was already in it, teamkill. In any case Hydra was seriously comtemplating switching Sea and Fantasy but it looked like he wanted Sea to beg him to do so which Sea didn't.
Hydra couldn't move Stork at all because he's seeded.
