Oh man, Bruce Leta... hilarious; he actually did a back-handspring too(see @25:11):

... FBH's could have been better but I guess the military service has led him astray from his old ways

OMG GROUP D
Seriously, how the heck does this happen?
This makes me a really sad panda.

Cowards. You're just scared your guy might get knocked out.
Plus, several of the best TBLS-games were played in Bo1's; such as Stork vs JD on MP or Flash vs JD on RH3. So you're saying that you have absolutely no concern, none whatsoever, regarding the impact on sponsorship decisions, that it is, for you, completely irrelevant that the players that draw in viewership are not only on the same group, thus making the other groups less atractive to tune into, but likely to drop out early in the league, dropping viewers left and right? Absolutely no concern? Dont you think that the current system is at least soemwhat broken? I mean, dont count me in for the removal of the ability to switch players around, its fun and healthy, but maybe, just maybe, there could be a system where groups didnt exceed or drop below certain ELO points.
MSL introduced the reseeding system at ro8, making Flash vs Jaedong for like three straight finals so they can "up" the viewership. OSL doesn't have such a thing. Yet, OSL is far more prestigious than MSL. Proposing to "fix" the group is just ridiculous-- it motivates greed and discredit any shenanigans that can be pulled in the selection ceremony to incite drama. Not to even mention that the top 8 seeds are immovable. There are also two players exiting from each group. If anything, the system gives plenty of leeway to ensure the qualified players move on.

i always wondered by why has the OSL been more prestigious?
this time around, many ppl at fomos were talking about how MSL is now the best league given that it got such a good sponsor and OSL failed to get a sponsor and hence is stalling time with some unorthodox mystarleague format

MSL came quite a bit later than OSL. OSL is such an established league that the name Starleague became synonymous with individual leagues, even though it's not really true (OGN Starleague vs MBC Starcraft League).
OGN is also more financially stable than MBC (official stream, no virtual stage bullshit, etc) and has historically pulled in the better sponsors. How awesome was Korean Air S2's venue?

Group D came out with some star power. It's disappointing they won't meet later on but there will still be some great games in the Ro32

I'm not concerned. Obviously big names = bigger ratings, but bw is entrenched enough in Korean society to not be completely dependent on them. At least 1 of TBLS always gets bounced out in the group stages, yet MSL always comes back the next season. Future potential sponsors may decide to wait until after the group selections, but I don't believe professional brood war to be so fragile that a one time fluke would jeopardize the future of the esport.
