Funny enough lots of people hate Kwanro but forget about all the games he 3 hatched b4 pool and crushed someone with great macro. Illusion is reality and all that shit I guess holds up well in SC. Jaedong has always been weak to these transition timing attacks. Remember that build that was kicking ass in the GOM season when Tempest knocked Jaedong out? People just stopped using it, it seemed to me. I didn't ever see a game where someone went for it and then it failed. Maybe it only works if you scout a particular things. Maybe zergs learned how to respond and I just never saw those game or they happened in team houses. Maybe it was map dependent and the maps changed. I'm very curious so if anyone knows, please send me a PM about it. But maybe it's one of those great builds that people just forget about like Ver mentions in his "how to succeed" write up. Those even happen in the NBA. I saw this VOD where someone breaks down how the Lakers beat the Spurs in their most recent playoff matchup. They kept going with a simple back door again and again and again and again and ye olde Tim Duncan was just too old to deal with it like he used to be able to do. A lot of teams/players at the high level will find something that works and will shy away from it before it ever fails but the best people will stick with it and respond to actual results (see JD going 9 pool 4/5 games).

There is a lot to be learned from them playing in both builds , micro , macro and multitasking . Flash's 14 CC follow-ups seem unstopable and thought i'm not a terran player and i'm a Jaedong fan i learned a lot from Flash's all out aggression after the 14 CC . I get tired of it because after Flash rapes Jaedong senseless theres 20 pages in each thread of how Jaedong was tired or should have done this or my favorite from the MSL final "The better player didnt win this"

What was the last creative thing, Jaedong did? Yeah...you can close your mouth now. In either sense.

After that game, it starts to become more common like in http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/korean/games/10952_Bisu_vs_ZerO On October 02 2008 02:21 FConnectionUK wrote: There was a popular starcraft show called StarBrains. Two players play as one team, one who directs and plans, and the other just follows order and macro. Caster Um (the fat one with MAHHHHHK) was the brain and Luxury(before he was good, Yarn was far more superior/famous at this time) was the player playing against Caster Kim (Carrier Kim) with Chalreng. ZvP. Caster Um opened with Muta opening and later switched to Hydra Lurkers. While Caster Kim defended the harrass making few archons then proceeded to collect some high templar. At the MOST PERFECT timing after building 298374987 hydras/lurks, caster Um orders Lux, "Let's build 6 mutas right about now. I don't understand why progamers dont do this, but this is such powerful strategy." Yes, he created 6 Mutas with this sole purpose: to snipe all the newly made templars. This was unthinkable even for pros at that time. Once they switched to hydra lurk, no one thought of reusing the mutas(well... only for all-in). But ever since caster Um introduced this strat, every pro zerg on planet abused this strat, sniping templars because going in with mass hydra lurk army.

I believe it was Game 1 of Flash v Jaedong in the MSL Finals where there was an epic game. All I know is at least ONE of the games was epic and it came down to whether or not flash could push out to the final expansion.

Pretty sure the Park twins were the real reason that there was a resurgence of two hatch mutalisks. Yarnc in particular was probably the player who brought back two hatch mutalisks, his understanding of it in 2006 was just so brutal. People tend to forget these things but Yarnc and Luxury were amazing aggressive zergs at the time and pretty innovative in certain ways too.

Yarc's 2hatch is vastly different from Jaedong's, as Yarnc tends to favor very aggressive muta/ling. It's pretty much all in. Jaedong uses the aggressive opening to get an advantage and take a 3rd base while transitioning to lurker/ling.
