geeez, do you know how old i am? do you know how much i play? do you think i dont know how to do a 9pool? i want comments and feedback, techniques, not lame comments like the two above, theres a reason i ask- not to be 'flamed' by a 13 year old. | ||

9/9 pool, 8/9 drone, 9/9 extractor trick and drone, cancel extractor, 10/9 lord. When lord is done, spawn 6 lings, and put hatch on natural, and play from there. Harass the shit out of him with lings, but don't waste them on nothing, he might counter you with like 4 rines + 4 scv while you don't have a sunk up yet. | ||

The terran with either contain you, or rush with rines/scv. Ignore the contain. If they rush, you will own the rush with slow lings. Then just start dropping like a madwoman. | ||

The drone you get will not mine back the amount of minerals you lost by canceling the building by the time your drones come out with a regular 9 overlord | ||

I never seen it done before, but it is deadly. You kill yourself one drone at start, than when you have 150 minerals, you make spawning pool. And as soon you have 150 cash you make 6 lings. Ok now back on topic. 9 pool is for fast damage. It is one of those do or die things. 9 pool rush is best for countering terran who goes fast expand. Or vs zerg to offensive sunken him. Vs protoss you combine it with ling speed, and you can mess him quite hard, puting 2nd hatch somewhere in between. | ||

I don't see how that extractor trick slows you down, since the 10th drone comes sooo much faster. It will probably do about 5 mineral runs before you could build a drone when you didn't do extractor trick. Feel free to test it. | ||

is to have 2nd hatch very early and a lot of lings very fast. This is I believe perfect way to defend fast expo vs fast zealot rush and terran off bunker. | ||

1) no gas / 6 lings and secure expo (Yellow style) 2) gas / 6 lings, fast lair to lurk (with or without speed) 3) gas / very fast lurk drop (enough slow lings to survive) Don't see much 3 hat off 9 pool. If you 9 pool you can secure expo with lings, so why 3 hat? | ||

Though I do lots of 2 hatch builds after 9 pool, but really the only time when I 9 pool is when I'm on 12, that's probably why I said it. On 12 you have to do some 3 hatch build or do something awkward which probably sucks. | ||

9 pool 6 lings if lings do good damage lair lurker/sacs elevate 2 lurks when he leaves expand 2 fast lord drop him again mass up, attack with ling/lurk when he expands if lings do nothing cancel lair expand, ling speed put 1 drone on gas cycle lings/drones (~1.5 egg lings to 1 drone) win fight at expansion with flank lings and/or ling counterattack get muta and kill him | ||
