vs mech however, you should almost never see guardian hydra, because guardians are bad against goliaths, and they're not particularly mobile.

The guy only had FOUR bases, but I can't really mine from other ones because he can storm my workers and he just sits there harassing me basically prevent a guy from getting JUST FOUR bases? http://bwreplays.com/pujij even if I drop or attack with cracklings he can just storm, he has like infinity storms and starting to build up dark archons I was thinking of getting queens, but scouts are so good at sniping them, I guess if I got a big ensnare it might be worth

The game would have ended by 4 min mark if you played your lings correctly. You even had 10-ish lings chasing a single zel to your base instead of using it to kill him with your 10-ish lings already attacking vs 3 zels defending with open wall.

Instead it becomes a 1:30 hour long game. The game would have ended by 4 min mark if you played your lings correctly. Yeah, obviously, I have a ton of replays where the guy just dies, but I'm not going to post those to ask questions about them I'm trying to figure out how to improve the parts that are not obvious, maybe I'm missing something

I know I’m a bit older than I was when I used to play often but this is ridiculous lol. Wondering if there are any steps I can take to mitigate this, any advice would be greatly appreciated. 1. Wear a wrist brace. Not only when you play, but also when you're going to be doing things that involve your wrist (almost anything applies here, like cooking, etc.) At this point you need to reduce the inflammation in the wrist to the minimum. Also adjust your chair and position to a more correct one. There's tutorials online on how to do this. 2. Use wrist curls with dumb bells and reverse wrist curls. You need your forearms to look like biceps. This will be a lot more helpful than you think.

By 29 minutes you only have 0-2-1 upgrades but you can have 3-3-3 at this time. At the 10-20 minute area, P was only on 6 gates for a long time so in this situation, it is very safe to get a quick hive and quick 4th (probably should get queen's nest and 4th at around 12 minutes or even earlier in this particular game). Also at around this time of the game, even though P does have d-web, they have mostly zealot sair, so a lurker contain while expanding and teching up would have been game ending for P. If you get faster hive, more bases and better upgrades, you could have flooded protoss with dark swarm ling (can be dropped or run up a ramp or both) and ht + cannon is not good enough defense against that. Protoss was playing so passive that it is safe to just keep rapidly expanding. Another thing is that the protoss natural and main had so little defense it can be destroyed without much trouble.

Makes a lot of sense, I often prioritize other things than getting Hive or upgrades, but it's sometimes over just making more troops

I like to attack zerg with a zealot archon attack producing out of 6 gates when I reach this amount of corsairs, but zerg sim city + them teching to lurkers pretty fast afterward is usually enough for them to hold off an attack like that (which comes late because I am sitting back for a while getting what I think is a safe amount of corsairs). I lose a lot to this build. I am wondering how other players deal with this style of play in general, for the next time I play BW. I suppose I could try to take a faster 3rd base and play defensively, but then I feel like I'd have to take it to late game where I have issues beating zerg with mass lurkers and upcoming hive tech. Things felt easier when zerg played builds like 5 hatch hydra or 6 hatch hydra to be honest.

if he doesnt come to harrass then you only need 5 corsairs with +1 to move out. if you control your corsairs well (ie. dont lose them stupidly to scourges), 5 corsairs will kill scourges before they hit and then you have easy air superiority. even if you lose a few corsairs you should have 1 or 2 more in production before you stop building corsairs so you get to maintain at least 5
