I know I should have been able to stop this, but some guy all in rushed me with SCVs. My zealot was late, but I don't know what good that would have done. Obviously, it shouldn't have worked, but I'm at a loss of how to stop it. What should I have done differently?

Should've been a draw, just attack with all your probes and the zealot. He had 7 scv's total. Also with your apm you'll be lucky to stop anything. I'm pretty sure the stacking thing he did is illegal anyway.

Ok I watched the replay a few times.

I think it was pretty much bad luck that 12 was the last location that you scouted, because if you scouted it second, you would have seen the SCVs stacking. I have never actually seen SCV stacking used before, and I have no clue why it's even fair. Because of that, I would assume that it's illegal, but I'm not sure about it.

One thing that may or may not help is to build your pylon and gate close to your nexus instead of down at the cliff. It gives you a slight speed advantage early game, and later on, it'll be harder for siege tank to snipe your buildings.

He did attack, terran floated away CC and rebuilt. And, yah what terran did with the stacking is definitely illegal on ICCUP. Biggest thing is that you let that guy attack your nexus for quite a while before you actually did anything about it, had you reacted sooner his SCV's would have been easily killed in time. You didn't send all your probes to attack the scv's until the shields on the nexus were entirely depleted. You can easily kill 8 workers with just your probes before 8 workers can bring down a nexus.

If someone does do a worker rush and actually goes for your workers, it isnt usually that hard to stop because you have time to build more workers by the time he reaches your base, so you'll always have the worker advantage.

woah....how on earth did the terran stack that way..pardon me for being a novice

how does that work?
it seems as if he stacked the workers on the minerals first...then on the geyser.. then clicked the geyser in the opponents base?

but..how on earth do the scvs stay stacked as they attack the nexus..thats my question o_0

Its a glitch.. can be done with just a few queued clicks in your minerals and gas and voila.

It's illegal on iccup so just report the guy for it and you'll get your points back.

Not a hack its an easy glitch. Fastest players use it all the time to defend against early attacks. right click gas, shift right click gas, attack move. to location. all builder workers will stay stacked and attack anything enroute. AND it is illegal on Iccup.

Yeah, I reacted slow. I thought it was only a couple, and wasn't used to lost temple, so I had trouble getting the probe into his base, so was messing around with that. And I just don't see a need to spam for APM.... I was screwed after the 4 minute mark tbh. I'll be sure to report the guy though.

i try it, but doesnt work. The scvs reamins stacked only when are moving to a resource patch, they start to split when you move to a location, or attack something.

I thinks was a hack.

ps: also, you need a lot more APM and training. You are very slow and lack of micro.
Beat after beat i will become stronger.

then you're doing it wrong.

1) Select Workers
2) Right Click on minerals
3) BEFORE they reach, right click on gas
4) BEFORE they reach, shift click on gas
5) BEFORE they reach, shift click on whatever you wanna kill.
