I made these two desktop backgrounds out of boredom a while back and figured someone here might like them.
Blue Storm PvP

To make these you just need a good replay, some picture editor like photoshop and a lot of patience to merge screenshots... If you have them, i recommend resolution hack and weed to make it a lot easier.
If anyone has some good replays on pretty/scenic maps like Carthage or Tau Cross etc, post them and I'll make a background of it when I have time... Bonus points if the map has a similar aspect ratio to blue storm that lends itself easily to desktop backgrounds....

Yeah I just liked the ramps on sin chup and wanted a picture of that... It's not easy to get the whole map into a background picture when it's so vertical though, there's very few 4:3 or 16 maps

It's the dimensions of the map. Shin CPR is kind of a vertical map which doesn't lend itself to desktop backgrounds, as per the purpose of the OP. If you just wanted to take gigantic pictures,
then it would obviously be less truncated.

Sick PvP but I mean white seems to have WAY more than 200 supply. I see three full groups of dragoons, at least 10 archons 2~3 control groups of zealots and an arbiter with some probes.

Love it overall though. It's now one of my backgrounds.
EDIT: After scrutinizing it they look more like zealots. T_T I thought it was like an easter egg.

EDIT: Also, sucks to be a probe at bottom-lefts min-only ^^. Action all over the map, very cool.
Was this all happening at one point in the replay, or did you just take take screenies of the action then merge it? Someone count the supply asap!

Cool background there.
A couple of pretty obvious clues give away that this isn't a picture of the map as it looked at one point. First of all, as has been mentioned, the amount of units is way too large. Also the way the bases has been mined (out) doesn't look like it would in a normal game. Lastly, look at all that action! I really doubt someone would be able to storm that many places at the same time, just to give an example. Really cool concept though, I must say!

Love the PvP background. I would use it, but I just switched mine, and I like it too much to change over quite yet.

It's not hard at all. all you have to do is press PrSc over 9000 times while wou move the screen around, trim edges on each in PS, and merge images. You dont have to do it manually btw.

and the images finally loaded for me, the pvp is really good. i like how it compresses different moments of the game into 1 screenshot so it just looks so much more epic.

I think zvp or tvp would be more visually impressive in this form than tvz -- i'm not sure if screenshots can do the fluidity of tvz/zvt justice.

I love this idea, so when I woke up today I decided to try it, on a smaller scale though.
I picked a battle from the Reach vs Flash game on Bluestorm, from the TL replay database.
Here are the results, if anyone's interested:-p
