lol, bisu loyal?, lol

As far as I know Bisu did not want to leave the team.

I'm sure he thought of MBC the same way, but its certain that the richer teams will be shooting huge offers at him and it'll be hard to resist.

edit: oh you mean he didn't want to leave MBC when he was bought?

Bisu probably left because he got annoyed by pusan constantly telling him to DT every game..

So he only dts 80% of games now.

FBH should say where hes at, and I really dont think khan could pick up savior if they tried, not after that history. I think if there was a zerg that khan could pick up (assuming they have the money seeings as they have to pay for fbh and stork) i think it would be either calm or luxury, most likley the latter. I think luxury won't be as expensive, though he did win wcg, the Koreans don't actually hold that to to high a prestige, but hes a good zerg so i think his price may be higher than i would bet.

oh and the july thing was a joke, bc skt1 has so many damn individual league dominators, y not through july in the mix, thats 2 3 time champions, and a bonjwa under one roof, all different races lol. Somehow, that coach would still manage to fuck that up and make terrible calls (not knocking the players again, just the coach, they should be wining.)

KTF: Obviously, they need a protoss. Its too bad that all the good free-agent protoss are so important to their teams. Much is the only good protoss in Cj, stork and bisu rake in wins for their teams that they won't be allowed to leave, and everyone else sucks big time. (forgot free, but he isn't going to move)Poor KTF.
CJentus: They're beyond hope. Develop within my friends.
eSTRO: Free agency won't help these guys.
Woongjin Stars: They need to snipe a terran with a 50% winrate. I don't see that happening. THe obvoius choices would be Midas/Canata but they suck so much now that it won't be worth it.
Lecaf: No needs. Backho is a semi-decent protoss with a 50% win rate. Jaedong and forgg carry the zerg/terran department.
MBC: No needs. THeir players just need to step it up. They can't afford to lose saint to free agency.
OGN: They have so many meh protosss. THey're just a good protoss away from being #1. If they snipe either Bisu(year right) or Stork(not gonna happen), they'll win the proleague.
Samsung: No needs. Great is really good.He just needs to step up.
SkT1: SKt1 needs to snipe calm or july. If they offer enough cash, I'm sure stx can't afford to keep both. This is the move that has the most probability of happening.
STX: STX has a great lineup. Thats why they have so many wins.
WeMade: Yes, its a common theme. Wemade needs a zerg. Problem is that good zerg demand top dollar and wemade might not be able to pay. Also, wtf happened to pure? He needs to step up. He failed just when the golden age of protoss came. That is sad.

Pusan isnt even MBC captain anymore, this is for anyone who thinks it would take alot for Pusan to leave MBC:

Update: Pusan agrees to stay with MBCgame for 50,000/year for one year.
It has been confirmed that July has indeed asked for a waiver.

I have decided to make a "proper" (as WiP would call it) newspost about the imminent departure of Julyzerg and Pusan from MBCgame so that users do not have to dig through the threads to find the essential information.

July Source: http://osen.co.kr/news/game_View.asp?gisano=G0705070087&code=310000
Pusan Source: http://cafe.naver.com/esportsfighting.cafe?iframe_url=/ArticleRead.nhn?articleid=1021

Park Seung Jun, better known as MBC game's Julyzerg, has been put on waivers by his team. This means that all teams are free to bid for the God of War's services.

The problem arose due to July's expiring contract of approximately 140,000 USD/year. MBCgame proposed a paycut to their star zerg player, based on his poor results during the 2006 year. (As far as I can recall, he did not have any notable showings in either major league other than his 2nd place finish during 2005 Shinhan Bank Starleague)

Julyzerg was not pleased with this proposed paycut, (partially because MBCgame won the 2006 proleague grandfinals over SKT1) and thus asked the team to release him.

Although it is not determined whether SKT1 will be the team to pick him up, their deep pockets, the vacancy of Lim Yo Hwan's salary obligations, as well as their anemic zerg lineup would make the move a logical choice.

With a bevy of emerging stars on the team, MBCgame has decided that these two veterans were not worth their current salaries. Although these reports are not official, an official announcement is expected soon.

I don't know where someone heard the rumor that Pusan was leaving, but no. He's staying, and he's just finished negotiating with mbc hero. 50,000 dollar for a year.

July wanted 80,000 dollar for a year with no incentive, but MBC hero said no, they offered 65,00 dollar for a year with incentive.

After this, July officialy requested waiver. (Basically free for trade.)

This is Julys interview.

original text: fighterforum.com

You requested waiver yourself.
▶Yes. I did it myself. It makes both me and MBC game feel more comfortable, doesn't it. I hope this one works out well.

Negotiations didn't work out. Was there a difference in offering?

▶I can not understand why they're offering a lower pay when we won the proleague last season. I was very dissapointed when I heard what MBC was offering to me at first. I am a bit sad, but I don't have anything against MBC game.

I heard there were other problems besides the negotiation.
▶No. Our stance was just different.

What are your future plans?
▶I find to plan a team that needs me. I will try to see as many teams as possible. If they choose me, I'll try my best not to fail them.

Poor July. I hope he will find new team soon.

Fuck KeSPA.

SKT T1's not getting any decent zergs except Saint, and that's a bit iffy. STX Soul can empty their bank accounts for Calm and not worry about July, no way in hell will he agree to go to SKT T1.
IMHO, I doubt this will change much in the standings, people just like their teams too much.

Protoss: (P)Stork, (P)Bisu, (P)free, (P)Much, (P)Pusan, (P)Tester, (P)TT, (P)SoO, (P)Rock, (P)Zeus.
Terran: (T)NaDa, (T)Sea, (T)Hwasin, (T)firebathero, (T)Iris, (T)Midas, (T)Canata
Zerg: (Z)Luxury, (Z)sAviOr, (Z)GGPlay, (Z)July, (Z)Calm, (Z)YellOw[ArnC], (Z)Saint, (Z)JiHyun, (Z)Max

Player by Player Breakdown

+ Show Spoiler [Protoss] +

Protoss

(P)Stork - Dino Toss shouldn't be going anywhere. KHAN is happy with him, he is happy with KHAN. He's a member of the defending Proleague champs and the reigning OSL Champion. There isn't really much more that he could ask for.

(P)Bisu - T1 would be foolish to let go of (P)Bisu. With their slumping Zergs and their less-than-stellar Terran play, the combination of (P)Bisu and (P)BeSt allows them to stay competitive. Plus, SKTT1 has the money in the bank to keep him around.

(P)free - (P)free had the opportunity to leave Woongjin a while ago, and he didn't. With his team actually doing well now, and (Z)GGPlay's return, he really isn't going anywhere in my eyes. Maybe a team like KTF could buy him out, but it's unlikely.

(P)Much - (P)Much is probably the biggest Protoss name that's actually available. Although he's been with CJ for a while, he's slumping and CJ is content in developing the young (P)Movie as his replacement. Rumors of him departing for the army are swirling around, but just like the Jets baited Brett Favre, obviously knowing he was worth a season, two at best, someone will take Park Yeong-min.

(P)Pusan - (P)Pusan is thriving now, and MBC isn't doing half bad. He might be lured away by a big payday, as MBC isn't well known for holding on to their players, so maybe someone like KTF could lure him away with a lavish contract.

(P)Tester - He's not going anywhere. He's gearing up to retire, so he's better off finishing out with eSTRO.

(P)TT - A week ago, I might've said someone picks him up as a budget guy to help sit the bench. He's low man on the totem pole at KHAN behind (P)Stork and (P)JangBi, and only usually sees action against ACE. But his recent loss convinced me that he shouldn't be going anywhere.

(P)SoO - (P)SoO has something to be on STX for even if he isn't playing. As one of two remaining players from the 2004 squad, and with STX playing this good, he probably won't go anywhere, even if to just live the dream.

(P)Rock - (P)Rock is (scarily) the best option WeMade has for Protoss right now, as (P)Pure has been horrendous. Then again, (P)Rock isn't the most desirable of Protoss players. Those two factors combined mean (P)Rock probably won't go anywhere.

(P)Zeus - He's not even a semi-decent player, so no team will really want him.

+ Show Spoiler [Terrans] +

Terrans

(T)NaDa - (T)NaDa isn't playing well lately, finally showing signs of aging. Could he be done now? Who knows, but no one can afford to find out.

(T)Sea - (T)Sea will never leave MBC. Flashback to when (P)Bisu left, tears streaming down Yum Bo-sung's face. (T)Sea will be a HERO as long as he plays.

(T)Hwasin - The young man who came so close to a Proleague title back in with (P)SoO has to have the image of (T)Yooi, tears streaming down his face in 2004 after their defeat, burned into his memory. Now, as the captain of this young team with a lot of potential, even if he is slumping, he probably won't go anywhere.

(T)firebathero - First of all, there is a perception that many teams think FBH is arrogant in his celebrations. This would be a first turn-off for many. Couple that with the fact that KHAN will want to keep their pelvic-thrustin' machine, and he's staying put.

(T)Iris - I honestly don't think (T)Iris is going anywhere. CJ's captain has been through a lot, and even if he isn't top dog in the Terran seat, he's still got a lot left to do.

(T)Midas - If a Terran gets dumped off, it's most likely going to be (T)Midas. As bad as he's playing right now (and it's bad), he's got talent and just needs to break his slump. With (T)BoxeR returning to the active lineup and (T)fantasy playing well, (T)Midas is going to see a lot less play time.

(T)Canata - His inadequacy saves him, actually. T1 won't be able to dump him off on anyone most likely, because he is a one trick pony. Maybe someone will take him as a specialist, but its highly unlikely with the way the game is going these days.

+ Show Spoiler [Zerg] +

Zerg

(Z)Luxury - (Z)Luxury just settled down into KTF and seems to like it. He also settled down into a rut. That and his high payroll make it unlikely that he's going to go anywhere.

(Z)sAviOr - People keep saying (Z)sAviOr's going to end up leaving CJ. He probably won't. CJ will work hard to keep him around as he's been essential to their success.

(Z)GGPlay - (Z)GGPlay already left Woongjin once, and the results weren't pretty. I hardly believe that he'll jump ships again, especially with how well he and Woongjin are playing. It'll take a high markup for him to go, or a quick drop by Woongjin.

(Z)July - Tushin has been on more teams in his career than Terrell Owens. Not really, but he bounces around. It seems as if he's finally found a home to settle down into in STX. Not to mention that he's slowly starting to fade. Beside, who can actually pick up his hefty tab? KTF doesn't need a Zerg.

(Z)Calm - STX's 2nd Zerg also looks pretty comfortable with STX, and they've placed their trust in him as well. He could be someone to get lured by the money, and there are teams that could pull him in. We'll have to wait and see on him.

(Z)YellOw[ArnC] - Yarnc is a hot commodity among this high powered class of Zergs. OGN isn't a team that looks like it can go the distance if one part cools off, and he's been working like crazy to keep them competitive. A team that has a better balance might be a great place for him to land, especially if he keeps up his level of play.

(Z)Saint - (Z)Saint has also been a big blip on the radar of a few teams. MBC isn't really a solid and consistent contender, and he could easily be bought up as MBC doesn't really make aggressive moves to hold onto their players (See: (P)Bisu, (Z)July, (Z)Thezerg). (Z)Saint could easily land on another team that is looking for a talented starter.

(Z)JiHyun - (P)TT's 2v2 partner, (Z)JiHyun is pretty much stuck at KHAN. On the upside, (Z)great may not hold out to be the best starter for KHAN and if they don't sign one of these guys, he could get a shot.

(Z)Max - (Z)Max is benched behind (Z)GGPlay and (Z)ZerO, meaning he won't see much action. His marquis matchup is an abysmal 38%, so he's got no shot at really going anywhere.

+ Show Spoiler [Team by Team Breakdown] +

Team by Team Breakdown

CJ Entus

Potential Losses: (Z)sAviOr, (T)Iris, (P)Much
Needs: There isn't much that CJ needs right now. Even if they lose one of those three, they have a solid or developing replacement in the wings to take over. (P)Much seems to be the most likely to go, and they may want to pick up an experienced Protoss, but there aren't any that they'd be able to snag in the free agency.
Best Fit: None

eSTRO

Potential Losses: (P)Tester
Needs: eSTRO needs a superstar to really gear them up. Right now, they consist of a bunch of mediocre players, no one person stands out. With (P)Tester going, they might want to pick up a leading Protoss, but they've got two good ones in (P)SangHo and (P)NonY coming up. They should just focus on grooming someone like the young (T)Really to develop into a possible star.
Best Fit: None

KTF MagicNs

Potential Losses: (Z)Luxury
Needs: KTF needs one thing: a Protoss. They desperately need someone to fill that void, as their young guns just aren't developing. There's plenty of Protoss talent in this field, but not enough is going to move. KTF is going to have to go big on this one and chase down either one of the marquis players ((P)Stork, (P)Bisu, (P)free) or they're going to have to settle for someone like (P)Much or (P)Pusan and hope their guys develop.
Best Fit: (P)Pusan - A replacement that won't break the bank, but will be competitive and around for more than a year or so.

Lecaf Oz

Potential Losses: None
Needs: Lecaf's strong race is Terran, where they have (T)fOrGG, (T)Lomo, (T)HiyA and captain (T)Dongrae. They're also fine at Zerg, where they can pitch out (Z)Jaedong every match. Their biggest hurting point is Protoss. They have the offensive GGer himself, (P)FailHo, and that's it. (P)BackHo is a decent option, but they've got no fallback if he slumps. (P)Young hasn't proven himself useful yet and there really isn't much more there. With (P)Anytime gone, they need to acquire someone to back up (P)BackHo. Not necessarily a superstar, but someone solid.
Best Fit: (P)Much - A solid, second string/alternating starter to buy some time while they develop a younger player like (P)InteR.Young

MBCGame HERO

Potential Losses: (P)Pusan, (T)Sea, (Z)Saint
Needs: Lets face it. MBC will NOT be able to secure all three of those players, and that's their bread and butter right there. They already lost (Z)Thezerg earlier this season, so they're shallow at Zerg, and odds are a team like KTF will be able to buy out (P)Pusan, or someone snags (Z)Saint. The only guarantee they have is (T)Sea's going nowhere. The problem is, I don't think they have the power to replace these guys. They might get stuck with someone like (Z)JiHyun.
Best Fit: Keeping their guys - Otherwise, they won't have the power to lure some of these heavy hitters away

OGN SPARKYZ

Potential Losses: (P)Zeus, (Z)YellOw[ArnC]
Needs: OGN needs depth to their lineup. They're also lacking a solid Protoss. With (T)Leta and Yarnc carrying the team right now, they can't afford a departure of Yarnc without filling the gap or snagging a top-tier Protoss. They need a fix and a fix now, and they'll probably have to cut someone like (P)Zeus loose to do it.
Best Fit: (Z)Saint - Although it's improbable that they get him, he's a young Zerg who can help shoulder the load with (T)Leta.

Samsung KHAN

Potential Losses: (P)Stork, (P)TT, (Z)JiHyun, (T)firebathero
Needs: KHAN needs a solid Zerg. (Z)great doesn't seem like he has the moxie to cut it and they need someone they can rely on as a consistent starter. They're lucky in the fact that there's plenty of (P)Young talent at the position. KHAN could easily snag a Yarnc or a (Z)Calm or a (Z)Saint if they so choose. Cutting (Z)JiHyun and (P)TT loose wouldn't hurt the process, either.
Best Fit: (Z)Calm - A solid young Zerg who can also step into the pressure of an ace game if need be.

SK Telecom T1

Potential Losses: (P)Bisu, (T)Midas, (T)Canata
Needs: T1 needs a lot, really. They need a Zerg and a steadfast Terran wouldn't hurt either. Their Zerg department has been shaky at best and could use another addition - it seems that (Z)Thezerg didn't cut it. Their Terran lineup as well hasn't been all that great outside of (T)fantasy. Dumping (T)Canata and dishing (T)Midas are two very likely things for T1, as well as picking up someone to bolster the once Terran powerhouse.
Best Fit: (Z)Saint and (T)Iris - (Z)Saint would be a great addition to their Zerg lineup and would provide a spark. (T)Iris, although is unlikely to leave, could provide another option to go to in order to let the stress off of (T)fantasy and (T)BoxeR.

STX SouL

Potential Losses: (P)SoO, (T)Hwasin, (Z)July, (Z)Calm
Needs: STX doesn't need much actually. (T)Hwasin is slumping right now, but that's not a terrible problem. The biggest need will be a replacement for (Z)Calm, but they have a strong B-Team lineup ready for (Z)Action as well. Of course, securing (Z)Calm would be ideal, but it's highly unlikely that they'll be able to do that.
Best Fit: None

WeMade FOX

Potential Losses: (P)Rock, (T)NaDa
Needs: Another team that's in the market for a quality Zerg player, but they could use a Protoss while they're at it. Again, I don't see them snagging one of the big 3 Protoss on the bench, but they could be in the running for a (P)Much or a (P)Pusan. Honestly, there's no need to keep Caveman Toss around any longer, and disposing of him wouldn't be a bad idea.
Best Fit: (P)Much/(P)Pusan or (Z)Saint/(Z)Calm - (P)Pusan and (P)Much would be (Z)great opportunities for improvement, while (Z)Saint or (Z)Calm would give them a reliable Zerg player for the time when (Z)RorO and (Z)keke stop winning.

Woongjin Stars

Potential Losses: (P)free, (Z)GGPlay, (Z)Max
Needs: Woongjin is perhaps the one team in the market that is looking for a Terran and a Terran only. They need one desperately, as their best options right now are (T)MVP or (T)PianO. They're actually in luck because there should be a dumpoff sale by T1 and they should stumble into a Terran or two.
Best Fit: (T)Midas - A usually solid all around Terran who may need a change in scenery who can start automatically and fill in a gap.

Bump, because the season is about to end and I have an itch free agency will be starting.

Will be interesting to watch about this during summer

Do this mean that any team may be able to speak to those players elegible into the free agency??

Apparently 26 progamers are eligible for transfering to other teams;

Protoss: Stork, Bisu, Free, Much, Pusan, Tester, TT, sOo, Rock, Zeus.
Terran: Nada, Sea, Hwasin, Firebathero, Iris, Midas, Canata
Zerg: Luxury, Savior, GGPlay, July, Calm, Yarnc, Saint, JiHyun, Max

No more players??

pd: CJ Entus should get a big protoss to help Movie´s improvement, soon!!

As horrible as it sounds, on the off chance that he demands a lot of money or something, the Maestro just might be the biggest name on that list who is actually likely to move.... I can't see any of the other super big names on the list being let go - most are already making top player money and are earning their keep in the process.

Dont think so

Maestro will be kept in CJ as the "flag bearer", and no doubt he will become second coach sometime soon, and continue his career in gaming as main coach in future

BTW, hot_bid, happy birthday

If he's not earning his keep why would a team try to snag him? Maybe a change could inspire him like it did for July. MJY is over the hill though. He will probably stay on as CJ's old star until he retires or goes to ACE.

I see CJ as less likely of a team to acquiesce to a player's demands just because he's a superstar in name, whereas some other team might want to take the gamble.

Honestly it might not be a bad idea for SKT1 to try to steal Savior - he's legitimately not worse than their Zergs and could be a great teacher as well. This would make me so sad though! Likely no big names go anywhere - it just doesn't feel like the kind of thing players would do.
