Watching this, I realize exactly how owned foreign shoutcasters are for SC. Lawl.
You kick ass ;D This should be a stickied/featured thread/sticked blog? o_O

Edit: My only concern is that the text at times is too big

Hahaha, I loved the subtitles, very in depth. Do they actually use the word "pimping"? To answer your questions, some were slightly too fast, but there isn't anything you can do about it, because the koreans are speaking even faster. They were a good size. They generate immense excitement.

The subtitles are just a text file. =/

Depending on your media player, you either have to change the settings in the subtitle file (near the top where it says "font-size:18pt;") or change the default subtitle settings in the media player options. In Media Player Classic it's options -> subtitles -> default style -> click on the font name at the top left.

The subtitles were amazing to watch for someone who doesn't speak korean

I have always wondered exactly what the commentators say and how they say it and now I know, thanks!

It's very unfortunate that I have to break my promise. I won't be making subtitle for MSL Ro16. Not because I don't feel like it, but because I'm very disappointed at the quality of those games. (Anytime vs Nada was plain disgusting) I believe I should invest my energy on a game that's better and most of all, fun and exciting.

But not to worry, OSL is tonight! I'll get back to you as soon as I can what I'll be translating. Also few other Koreans offered me to help translate. I guess we'll be seeing more subtitle then.

If Luxury vs Bisu isn't completely one-sided, I think that'll win the vote.

Good choice and I agree. I would personally rather see, for example, VODs with subs from 5 good games than VODs with subs from some not so good games.

Thanks a lot for all your effort, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I appreciate what you're doing.

Great match, great subtitles (the capitalized hypes made me laugh =)

It's funny how some of the Koreans I know complain about how much talking the commentators do, kind of like what some of us say about our sports commentators. One guy in particular says about one of the matches we've watched, "These guys talk so damn much, this stuff we all know already." I'm not sure what he meant by "we" so I'm guessing he meant korean players in general.

As some people have pointed out, timing (in terms of eco, attacking, etc.) is emphasized greatly. After watching this, it makes me wonder how much more of an understanding the koreans have for this game than me. While I'm still working on my own sense on timing and grabbing as many other useful tidbits as I can, these are probably things they all already know and have applied for a long time.

Again, thank you for these videos. If you have any more subtitles of great matches in the future, please post them up as many of us will be looking forward to them~

2) Most minerals are 1500. Progamers time their attack based on how many minerals are left. When an Expansion have 1400, this means exp's been running for 1:30 minutes. You can then decide whether to forfeit the timing and play catch up, or time.

3) Lurkers shoot faster when you give target even before they are fully burrowed. Don't ask why, they just do

These can be all learned just by listening to the Korean commentators and is very helpful.

Jesus, I didn't think I could love you more, and then I realized that they go this far into detail in the korean commentaries. I don't think theres a number big enough to describe how many <3's I want to post here.
