there was also the season where they decided that having a bo3 grand final was a good idea; first day at gwangahli was packed to the rafters and the second day was virtually empty. i did enjoy the super ace concept though for the playoff games.

2v2 is a really different skillset than 1v1 and removing it really screwed up some teams and players IIRC.

Would be cool to watch some spon-match 2v2s between current pros (IE not just funsies UMS 2v2 etc). 2v2 is a really different skillset than 1v1 and removing it really screwed up some teams and players IIRC. 2v2 was really interesting on certain maps like Iron Curtain, but maps like DMZ fucked it up lol

I love how top 2v2 player ZergBong became Nestea and dominated SC2 as an old man.

Yep, during the 09-10 finals, there was an interview of the coaches and iloveoov and HOTForever. iloveoov basically said: I haven't seen all 50 games, but out of the games I have watched, when Flash is slotted to play in the 4th game, they (KT) lose 3-0. If Flash is slotted to play within the first 3 games, they lose 3-1. Because that's the trend that I've witnessed, I thought "Flash is the only one who wins". So while KT may be strong in a best-of-5, today's best-of-7 format means Flash's strength is limited to 1/6 of his total impact. So, our team should sufficiently, actually no, EASILY, beat KT today. iloveoov also says that he admits Flash is very strong and currently ranked #1. He believes that Fantasy should be able to set Flash as his goal and reel him in, just like he was able to do the same to NaDa (the #1 in 2003-2004). H.O.T.Forever says: I'm reminded of 6 years ago, when Boxer was in tears (I think referring to 2004 SKY Proleague R1 where Boxer lost in the deciding 4th match). I think that same result will happen here. And iloveoov said he didn't watch all the games, but isn't it the duty of the coaching staff to watch all the games and study them? Also, you must have not watched your own game, where Flash didn't appear in the 5th round and still beat SKT. You didn't see that match?? iloveoov: KT has been very lucky to make it to the finals on the back of Flash. They haven't experienced pre-playoff (pre-6th round) matches before. They're completely ignoring the data. H.O.T.Forever: Aren't the pre-playoff matches for shitty teams? We're #1, and even if we wanted to participate in the pre-playoffs, we couldn't. You might say that you have built up a "force" by beating shitty teams, but nah - we've stayed in this exact spot. #1. Flash: What they're saying isn't negative towards me, but it is negative towards my team. They seem to think KT will definitely lose. I have no thoughts of losing. And my teammates have practiced very hard. We think that SK's skill isn't as good as the previous year's, so we think we will win today.
