Maybe put a spoilers with each map name so the thread isn't massive. Especially when quoting starts to happen. I personally think some of these work even with the current meta. Idk the name of the map but the 3rd one with "island" bases in the middle is definitely competitive in the current meta, I think it just needs an easier 3rd to defend.

Many of these look playable as they are to be honest. LT needs a remake for sure though and I am ok with this one as a map. It's not very loyal to the original though. The original's main problem is that on 12, you actually can't forge expand, or even 1 rax expand TvZ, like you can on the other positions.

I like that take on LT. I literally played 4-5k LT games when I was a kid. I'd love to change it a bit more with lots of small tweaks. I will refrain from nitpicking and just say this: That LT had 8 mineral fields was a huge difference to (BW) maps that had 9 field mains. Imho to have this feel as LT the 9th mineral field should only be as a small boost, say 150-200 minerals. That way you can have players use more modern openings, but not completely turn it into a macro map. It never was a macro map. Just my 2 cents.

Good point. Minerals should be 8, even if we're not going for a minimalist, faithful update. For a minimalist update, the cliff should be buildable and inaccessible, too. It'll be fine as long as it's difficult for Terran to take a third base (which it should also be, and this base shouldn't even have a gas), and the centre is open, allowing for flanking.
If you just open up the terrain on LT and make it symmetrical so that every spot can expand, it'll honestly be fine.

The point of our map contest is to create modernized inspirations based off of classic maps that are playable in todays meta. Lots of nostalgic coming this Christmas!
