He means their reputation is ruined beyond repair. You have to remember that besides the usual youtube-hunt, important figures such as KCM have condemmed Flash. I would like to think also that the skill and performance that Flash and Bisu bring to game is enough but it seems that korean community disagrees with this kind of narrative.

Youtube comments come mostly from full-blown retards or 11 year old kids. I wouldn't count on them too much to form an overall picture of the situation. Flash is in the military right now and just like Bisu I think by now he is an established millionaire so doubt that them disappearing from streaming altogether is that much of a big deal. They're well set and the game is kind of dying out anyways so it's not like they've cost themselves that much. (at least imo)

Their probably just done with all this man, think about it, they've been playing BW nonstop for 15 + years now, they are rich as hell, Bisu pulls 10 women just by walking down the street and BW is kind of just smaller then it once was.
Even if it has nothing to do with the scandal, I wouldn't blame them for taking a good long break from streaming the game. I personally think JD and Flash will continue to stream though, they know that when they stream they make money.

In Flash case, it is quite "convenient" that he's serving his military/public service. So comeback or not, he doesn't even have to consider until 2023.
Bisu can make a comeback if he really wants to, imo. His fan base should be huge enough that the portion who still supports him is still larger than the entire fanbase of other active BW streamers. He can even ask Sea to bed him in beforehand, just to test the water a little bit. The problem is he was demotivated himself already before the scandal. In a way, it kind of gave him a reason to disappear for good.

This situation is similar to the #MeToo witchhunt that happened a few years ago where some truly despicable human beings were outed while the other vast majority of the accused were just middle aged men caught sending semi-dirty text to women they barely knew.
So while on average it was the current toxic PC culture playing its hand the effects are vastly different: these guys here are around 30 years old and have very little expertise outside of their main streaming careers and public persona.
And that alone might be a significant factor to consider in their return to streaming.

Either way Korean Netizens are crazy. I mean I understand hating on savior till infinity to a certain degree, but they act like this crypto scandal is just as bad. Nobody even lost any money in the end from the coin thing. Flash on the other hand has been a driving force behind BW both in terms of star power as well as pushing the meta for what feels like forever. I understand the backlash against Bisu and Flash and the loss of trust. I really do. I feel they are overreacting though. The punishment should fit the crime. Maybe it's a cultural difference. For example Chris Brown beat the shit out of his girlfriend (Rhianna). His lost his sponserships at the time yet somehow still has an incredibly successful career. There is no way what Bisu and Flash did is nearly as serious.

There is no way around it "I didn't invest in coin". It was only after names started dropping they admitted it, Flash even tried to lie more (not sure if it is still in his Afreeca homepage). We know, that these guys (Maybe not Sea) are immature and in Flashs case he probably paniced and posted whatever he could salvage. The fans are angry, because they feel betrayed being lied when most of these players get their living from sponfunds or donations. And then said players lie in such silly mater. For example Rush was watching old ASL matches between Mini and Flash. The witch hunt started right away but then chat calmed down and they argued that if Flash would spin lies about something as silly as coingate, he is surely capable of lying other things as well. So the problem is, that Afreeca Brood War owes it exitence to viewers and their donations. And sadly it seems Flash and Bisu in particular have lost critical ammount of support among koreans. I don't think its fair to be edgy about korean netizens in this particular issue, their relation with players is what keeps Brood War going after all the years.
