Pylons have to be diagonally spaced so it looks like a huge gap, but it's still a wall (for the vulture)
Instructions: 1) Send your vulture in between the pylon gap so that it looks like it's already on the other side. 2) Spam H and S (hold and stop) 3) Your vulture is on the other side. It won't move or anything, it's just magically on the other side.
Or just spam right click:
In conclusion: Terran players: Have fun killing those probes Protoss players: Make better walls noobs Zerg players: Switch race.
a single stop is enough to make it go through. but depending on wall location and exact movement of the vulture, it is easier or way harder to do. you didnt even cage a vulture in 4 diagonal pylon, selected vulture and clicked right click outside of the cage

omfg you are right, just go up to the pylons and press S and it's like the pylon wall isn't even there. So much faster!!
this works vs any 31x31 pixel gap, like turret-ebay (turret top left, ebay bottom right) or ebay-rax (ebay bottom left, rax top right) or stargate-gateway (stargate top left, gateway bottom right) List of Unit and Building Sizes
as for the reasons why this is working, i might not remember it 100% correctly.... 1. for pathfinding, vulture is a 32x32 unit, so if you right click past wall, vulture cant cross it. but in reality, vulture is a slightly smaller rectangle, based around which way it is facing. 2. if you press stop right before your right click location, a vulture decelerates slower than usual, making it travel further than your right click location. this extra traveling is also not bound by pathfinding, only by wall detection.
and by combining the 2 you can get through 31x31 pixel gaps
This has been discussed thoroughly at another place (general discussion?) already. It has to do with the gradual deceleration behaviour of hovering units, so you can do it with Archons and Dark Archons too. Pretty sure I posted a test map at the time, will check this evening.

If it is a balance problem there is a simple solution for mapmaker to just add a doodad that makes it easier to wall, like they do for Terran all the time. But yeah, yet another punish in SC:BW for players who know to get free wins off players who don't. There's a tonne of them, but you have to accept it as part of the charm of this game, like the first time you get cannon rushed or the first time your tell your units to move past a wall and they all dance around like idiots, or the first time your dragoon freezes because you attack move too much. It's unintuitive but it's funny. Just like Terrans have to know supply depot must go above barracks not below to block Zergling.
I wonder if quirks like this in SC2 exist, or if they were all ironed out. I know walls are easy to make in sc2.

You should just use Hallucination on your Probes so that when the Vulture hacks his way through the Pylon wall and upsets the meta using a many-year-old trick, the chance of them killing actual Probes decreases.

There are actually a few. Dumb example, if you wall in certain ways you can block zerglings from going through the wall with a zealot on hold position, but only if it's exactly in the middle of the space. If it's slightly off to one side then zerglings can go through which lets them run by or surround and kill the first zealot with fewer lings.
I've seen this one alone decide a handful of games at high pro levels, often the person on the recieving end just instaquits because it's unrecoverable.

Haha, the equivalent of Protoss not quite positioning a zealot correctly on a ramp, especially before forge FE was popular. SC is such bullshit. Or SCVs on a ramp with a marine behind to defend the ling rush.
Nice find, I'm pretty sure this actually happened to me a couple days ago or so...I like the 2 pylon diagonal wall at the inner ramp of the 3rd base at 3 o'clock on fighting spirit, guess I'll have to add the third pylon or put a cannon in its place now lol.
