Im happy with that hoping to be true, since this ASL is already full of upsets and we know who will be the champion, a new one will cheer all the fans for sure.

Bisu? Jaedong? Thanks for the info! If I am not mistaken, Korean service must be started (completed?) by the age of 30. This week Bisu will turn 28; if we count by Korean age, I think that will make him 30 in January. I'm not sure if the "rule" above uses normal age or Korean age, but either way the clock is fast running out for Bisu who is a bit older than Jaedong and Flash. It would be nice if I can get a bit more details on the above issues of started/completed and "normal" age/Korean age for the requirements.

In most countries, where military service is obligatory, there is also an alternative for pacifists, religious people, or whoever doesn't want to serve due to whatever reason. Alternative service means that instead of wearing combat boots and shooting all day long, you do some usual full-time 9-17 job for the government, e.g. yardman, teacher, attendant, repair worker, carpenter, you name it. You stay at home instead of living in a barraks (or, if you are sent to some other city, in a hostel, provided by the government). You have a salary, you have free weekend, holidays, etc. etc., but it's also almost twice as long (1yr9m compared to just 1yr of military in my country). That's, at least, how it works here, in Russia. I just know that there IS alternative civil service in South Korea, and IIRC one of our forum members is/has been serving alternatively. And my alternative service begins Summer, 2018.

I guess it has to do with something in the military penal code due to security, etc.

I'm just asking questions, and I actually find the topic interesting since BW is such a different game. And most of my information comes from this, I don't care to be really accurate on this topic, though. very awesome! unfortunately the upcoming man vs ai fight is not against a trained neural network is it?

I can completely see how cultural practices may be kept out of official matters; for example, practices such as drinking age and etc. seem like they would be very much affected by people being 2 years older than they are on paper. Bisu turned 2 years old in Korean age when he was 2 months old in biological age, for example. I imagine it would cause a lot of problems for other matters as well. Perhaps a native Korean can clarify here? It's something I've been curious about for a long time.
