what is insane to me is that you would add a negative clause. Why not say if you win X times get Y money. Its feels way better imo.
|
its a rude reminder that 'they' consider his starpower to come from his win percentage

he ended up meeting that clause though right?

sounds like the kind of clause letmelose would design.

I dont get it, is this a present contract we are talking about? Flash is under contract with KT nowadays? 40 wins from when to when?
This data seems to be lacking a lot of context or maybe I just missed something, can someone explain a little further please?

Almost certainly this contract was from Flash's proleague days. I did not however find when this clause was in effect.

Yes, but it doesn't stop it from being a ridiculous threshold.
Even the threshold of 40 ProLeague victories was a standard that no player apart from Flash and Jaedong managed to rise above without fail, starting from the 2008/2009 ProLeague season to 2010/2011 ProLeague season. After that it was mathmatically impossible for a player to even play 40 times during a single season.

There was a period in history (mid-2008 to mid-2011) when the very best performing ProLeague players won over 40 ProLeague matches over the course of a year long season. The circumstances allowing for such an extensive ProLeague scheduling were never found before or since.
From mid-2008 to mid-2011 (a time-frame lasting roughly three years), I will post the top five performing players in terms of total number of ProLeague victories per season (including the post-season games):
Shinhan 2008/2009 ProLeague
1. Jaedong: 63 wins 2. Bisu: 55 wins 3. Flash: 54 wins --------------------------- KT Rolster's proposed clause of a minimal requirement of 53 ProLeague victories 4. Leta: 49 wins 5. Calm: 42 wins --------------------------- KT Rolster's final clause of a minimal requirement of 40 ProLeague victories
Shinhan 2009/2010 ProLeague
1. Flash: 61 wins --------------------------- KT Rolster's proposed clause of a minimal requirement of 53 ProLeague victories 2. Jaedong: 52 wins 3. Light: 49 wins 4. FanTaSy: 46 wins 5. Leta: 43 wins --------------------------- KT Rolster's final clause of a minimal requirement of 40 ProLeague victories
Shinhan 2010/2011 ProLeague
1. Bisu: 66 wins 2. Flash: 60 wins --------------------------- KT Rolster's proposed clause of a minimal requirement of 53 ProLeague victories 3. Jaedong: 51 wins 4. Stats: 48 wins 5. ZerO: 44 wins --------------------------- KT Rolster's final clause of a minimal requirement of 40 ProLeague victories
All the other ProLeague seasons in history basically had the schedule arranged in a manner that made it basically impossible for players to win over 40 ProLeague matches.

Holy crap how did Calm get 42 wins. I definitely do not remember that wow.

Apologizes. I didn't think the context that it was past was necessary, considering current state of the scene. I don't think exact time period is mentioned? Ironic Flash managed to meet those goals anyway, but some of these stories about former pro-scene coming out after players started streaming is ridiculous. I knew the condition was bad, but not that awful.

Letmelose very awesome contribution,. You are setting the standards pretty high in temrs of data sharing, it's nice to have you around.

Nah man it's ok, it seems that most of ppl knew about 40 wins per Proleague season beeing a thing so they instantly knew about what you were talking about. In my case I strongly suspected that it was about Kespa times but wasn't sure. Anyway, if details needed I just had to ask, as I did, it wasn't my intention to point out lack of context as a fault of yours, it was more that I needed the confirmation that I wasnt missreading something. Salut

maybe he doesnt feel like posting sources and since waxangel made a big deal about that the last time
|
na he just asked for a source, he didnt threaten to ban him or anything. sometimes TLers want to write articles about these things, so they need a source to confirm it
