Having issues with iccup, please help.

Hi, I am having issues with getting onto broodwar from the iccup launcher I have downloaded the reg file and also tried the other launcher, ive tried two launchers and tried reinstalling tried many things but nothing has worked so far. What happens is when I open the launcher and load it up it goes to the starcraft loading screen but after 2 seconds it closes starcraft and im back on the windows desktop. I dunno it is very frustrating I have spent hours on google trying to figure how to fix it, I just wanted to play iccup for fun see how I do. Any help will be very much appreciated. Thank you

My recommendation is to play 1.18 and forget about iccup.

starcraft.exe works ?

Is your StarCraft patched to 1.18.x?

Yes, every time I uninstall and reinstall bw through the blizzard werbsite it automatically comes with 1.18 I think im just going to play on fish. Yes my exe. works. Thanks

u cant play 1.18 on iccup

Iccup still runs 1.16.1.

My solution: I now have two folders: one name "starcraft 1.16" and one name "starcraft 1.18", in the same location. Every time I want to play Bnet, I rename the second folder "starcraft". Every time I want to play on iccup or shieldbattery, I rename it back to 1.18, and rename the 1.16 folder as "starcraft".

Simple solution which allows me to play on all relevant servers without a lot of messing around.

Yea, @EndingLife.......... intothemadcow. I stopped playing computer games/bw all around after i quit the tl.tour in 2003. 14+ years later and I came back lol, I should have never stopped gaming I was so passionate for competitive gaming but unfortunately made some bad decisions and had some bad friends that took me into the wrong path which resulted in a lot of hard ship. Anyways just early in 2016 I bought a good gaming build to play starcraft2 on, I played sc2 for 1 1/2 months but I was really bad I didn't know the builds or counters or timing nothing I thought I would do a lot better but unfortunately I got owned lol, I was usually always top 3 diamond but never got to master. I made the decision to quit sc2 because I knew I could never be as good as I was in BW for a few reasons but the biggest reason I gave up on sc2 was because of my left hand disability I was in a terrible accident which disabled my left hand permanently, everything in my left forearm was lacerated to the bone so basically my arm was cut off and hanging by the bone. I was in 12 hour surgery and almost died from loss of blood back in 2011. So I can move up fingers up and down but I can not move them side to side or have any sensation in them so I don't know what buttons I'm pressing, so for that and other reasons I decided I will have no success in sc2 cause of hand problem, I will never be as fast as the other player he will have full use of his left hand hitting hotkeys very fast and being able to hot key a lot of different things that I will not be able to do and it's just been to long the game had advanced it's almost a different game so I thought the only game that I am passionate about and I think I can be successful at will be CSGO, does not require as much use of the left hand and I am very passionate about. So I play CSGO now full time 10 hrs a day and I also do a little poker on the side trying learn the game I just started playing poker full time playing micro's $3-$10 tournaments trying to learn the game better. I will be playing BW and when remastered comes out but just for fun.
