In 2015, Blizzard implemented Advanced Ping to StarCraft II. This feature allows players to send visual indicators (attack, retreat, etc) to their allies on the field or on the minimap. It's not a priority and for all I know this could be impossible to code in SC1 but it would be a very cool addition in StarCraft Remastered.

I mean why not, will not harm 1on1, but tbh it is not needed. I am so used to the following
"go X" "b b b b b" "omw" "h"
etc etc
Not needed to write out everything and you are probably even faster writing this than holding down ALT and choosing the proper ping...

Introduce advanced ping
Introduce million other bugs

I know those pings are popular in MOBAs. But, I have never seen those pings used in a game of SC2, and I have played a lot of team games. Seems like extra work to delay the release date for little to no benefit.

Never change a running system
Blizzard: change the running system, Koreans go back to 1.16

Oh for fucks sake.
Can we not do this about freaking minimap pings for team games? It's such a harmless feature.

Thats a cool feature, i hope we get it. too bad it wont work with a random 2v2 ladder partner, they wont give a fuck about your pings xD

pings are stored in replay information, unless the format can handle forward compatability it would break the tenant of being compatible with 1.16.

Since 1.18 I've been playing a lot of 2:2 and 3:3 on Fish, lots of games and higher average skilled players. This feature would be awesome to help communicate with koreans allies.
