You can't explain how your top sc2 streamer is getting beat nearly 10-to-1 by the top BW streamer, so you try to change the subject. Got it. Oh, and you just got outed as a serial troll a couple of posts back by Jae, so good luck with anyone taking you seriously, lol. Tsk. Dork. Probably because SC2 players are playing, not watching. Yeah... you guys are playing so much you gotta come over to the bw forum and troll it just 'cuz we're getting a re-master. Srsly, what are you worried about, if you're so allegedly ecstatic with your own game? Sigh.
Don't recall saying I was worried about anything. Also don't recall trolling, or being ecstatic about SC2.
Pretty pumped to play through the BW campaigns if the re-master happens. Not sure why you're being so rude.

Let's see what happens. With the track record of these leaks I'm not convinced this will actually happen

My biggest concern is if the remastered graphics make the game harder to see. Too many pixels flying around will inhibit your ability to see and control units.
Didn't broodwar play better or worse (muta control) depending on the OS running it? Seems like a bunch of tiny things like that could divide the community. It would be weird if the foreign scene had a revival in players, but the korean pros kept streaming the old broodwar because the muta micro on old BW Win XP works better than revamped on Win 10. Hmm

The game is fine as is. The limitations of that time help make it what it is now. A remastered version is highly likely to screw it up.
If the remastered version is screwed up, can't people just revert to playing the original version?

OH LORD PLEASE MAKE THIS REAL !!!! I need a classic RTS these days so bad !

I used to play with multi select back in the days and i can assure you that it is the technically imperfect pathing that makes scbw truely amazing. Not having 50 marines stacked in a 1m² area make battles really great.

Yes of course. I was just trying to explain our point of view. As I said in the part you didnt quote, I d be interested in the hd campaign and I also said we should wait and see how it is.

After 1 month of hype, balance blame, flaming... etc etc Daed Gaem. Blizzard is quite good on this.

Blizzard sees SC2 dying and players getting back to broodwar. *Money making idea*
I hope they'll keep it simple and keep the graphics as clear as they are. more pixels means nothing if army battles are just big explosions which make it hard to see and keep track of individual units.

Yeah but it will divide the scene once again. Blizzard already forcekilled professional BW scene and see what happened, SC2 is now fainting

Regardless of the state of sc2 it could bring the bw campaigns(which were awesome) to a new generation of players so it s a good idea imho

Something something something divide the scene/ divide e-sports/ divide the players. I am cynical of BW:HD because Blizzard. UGH. BLIZZARD. Am I right, guys? It's Blizzard. Remember when they ruined breakfast cereals by adding marshmallows? Remember when they ruined the Cold War by nerfing Russia? Remember that?
In conclusion, Blizzard is Satan.

Proof it. Legal copies. Obviously I don't think its fair to say the playerbase on Fish isn't legitmate. However if we look at the playerbase in the West, your point stands.

They already have control of the scene via copyrights and tournament licenses.

I think it's funny how sc2 fans seem to be more excited about this than BW fans.
The classic BW won't cease to exist. Fish and iCCup will still be around. BW pros won't touch the game if the gameplay is not exactly the same. So what's there to complain about?
This is all around exciting news and imo it's about new and young players getting to enjoy BW. It's about people who will only play what appears in the bnet launcher. I don't mind the BW graphics at all, they look awesome to me, but I'm old and grew up playing C&C on N64. If this version gets 12 - 18 year olds to play some StarCraft and it looks less offputting for twitch viewers, that's a win for me.
I never played the multiplayer, but I would try for sure if it's in the bnet launcher and offers matchmaking. (Like Ret I'd just need custom hotkeys if I wanted to play for real :p)
The only thing to worry about is, if it's true or not.

The only thing to worry about is, if it's true or not. Yeah i look at it the same way pretty much. BW hardcore fans who are present here are more often than not extremely anti blizzard and also literally think that bw is perfect the way it is. That's where the disconnect is coming from. While i don't wanna see gameplay changes either (at least not if it doesn't improve the game; yes it could be improved; no i don't think the current rts talent at blizzard could do it most likely) i am all for a modernization in looks and general features (like matchmaking, custom hotkeys, etc) Is this actually real? No idea but i surely hope so.

Pretty sure it's 'true enough'... Blizzard staff on bnet forums have posted that such a thing is in the works.
Now, as for the details of it, who knows.

If it gets released in May, it would've been ready for showcasing at BlizzCon. Why would they not announce it there then?
I'd expect the advertising and PR for the game to be everywhere right now, if it was to come out in 2-3 months.
Is there some big expo coming up where they could announce it?
