It is not stated directly, but coaches don't have to play, only the pupils play, right?
|
I'd like to request that players list their available times in either CET or EST for ease of compiling in a few weeks

This is awesome guys, we already have coaches for at least 4 teams, and starting to get plenty of players pouring in! Keep it coming. Who knows, maybe we might even get enough for 6 or 8 teams to make a really deep league.
Additional stuff just wanted to talk about the polls a little:
- Max Rank Poll: Pretty self evident what's being voted for
- Minimum Games: This deserves some clarity. What I'm referring to is that voting for a minimum game requirement means that this number of minimum games must be played on ladder during the training time in order to be on the roster come game time. Basically incentivizing activity.
- Preferred Match Time: self-explantory
- Map #: self explanatory
- Player Division: Basically asking for the best way to make the teams. Obviously, a strict ranking tournament and then pick is probably the absolute best to ensure initial balance. However, their is one major potential flaw here, and that is if coaches pick based on that alone their is a decent potential to get a team that has totally conflicting availabilites, hugely impacting or even preventing the coach/player and team interactions that make a league like this especially successful.
I also want to add, I can't let coaches reserve entire lists of pupils beforehand, but if you have one particular player that you particularly want to work with, I think that's reasonable.

Hello, Lmaster, loving the good work. I just wanted to say that I think we should add some sort of safety net mechanism, so if players do drop out we'll have a way of continuing the league without too much disorganization. I'm just thinking about how the D rank teamleagues petered out and what not.
