I want to apply, but I do not know if I have the internet to be committed in a game unless it is at 9pm EST. On the other hand, I would love to cast games. Player/Coach: Caster ICCup Max Rank: Unplayed, despite having the client, I would be the mechanics-newbie casting the newbies! Caster Max Rank: I work in theatre, thus I have stage-experience Main Race: Zerg ICCup Name(s) and Link: Not sure if it is the same as my ICCUP username, but as a caster I have time to decide?* Available Time: If there is a Stream-Cast, see below, then 9pm-2am EST weekdays and 11am-6pm Sat EST Location/TimeZone: New England, EST I'd think that an organization for casting games, not including streamers, would be to: -Have Person[Host] stream the game on Twitch, but with no mic audio. The [Casters] will be talking through Discord commentating on the game to the audience who is sitting in discord while the [Host] acts as the observer. Pro: -Would be allowing casters from across the web to have two viewing/casting connections for a decently consistent experience for the viewers, would need to include in the twitch channel's description that to get the casting audio, visit the discord server. -Casting would be real time (from the audience's perspective) Con: -Two programs to manage for both players and management -I do not think discord can support auto-mute for a select audience, unless with discord you can give people the role of "Caster" and then only they can speak in a designated Voice channel while everyone else is automatically-muted. Teamspeak 3, however, does support this feature. I have 2 teamspeaks who would be willing to host us, we would just have to supply our own people to moderate chat and paste the link to the stream. The con to this is that not everyone has Teamspeak 3 either. -An archive would be tough, unless someone else was recording both Discord and the Stream together and posted it on Youtube. Alternative would to have the [Host] record Discord audio, silently, and then they can re-align the audio by adjusting for stream-delay in the editing process. Why? I thought about having the [Host] also hosting a voice-call of some sort, but that puts a delay on the casters' voice if they are using the stream to view instead of several casters observing by themselves and giving inconsistent information to the stream's image. It's truly about the technique, make sure you do it right otherwise it will seriously screw you up. | ||
