Now this is the story all about how the STL coverage got flipped, turned upside down and we'd like to take a minute just write right there, we'll tell you how we became the target of an admin in despair. In Skype Groups chained and enslaved, on the wordpad where we spent most of our days, chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool and all shooting some meme outside of the school, when a couple of guys, they were up to no good, started making trouble in our neighbourhood. sas vs AoV

Game 1 was Mad vs Skzlime on Oxide. Both players going for eco builds, with skzlime opting for the 14cc. Mad has quite good muta harrass to delay Skzlime’s push towards Mad’s 3rd. First upgrade that mad gets at hive tech is hydra speed+ Show Spoiler [Writer group’s reactions] +

. Skzlime was unable to secure his 3rd (that 4 patch base doesnt count) and Mad wins with Hydras.

Sas 0-1 AoV

Game 2 featured dsaqwe vs Poetic on Collosseum II. Poetic goes for a BBS in the middle of the map, and Dsaqwe with the starsense scouts it immediately, and throws down a 2nd gateway and a shield battery and forges to get cannons up. Poetic pulls scvs but was super late with his attack, allowing for dsaqwe to easily hold with his zealots and holds. Poetic GGs right after

Game 3 on Outsider, Lumix walkover’ed Mortician

Game 4 on overwatch was Entaro vs Vorti where Vorti shows us a super gosu pool placement behind the mineral. I’m totally going to steal that. Entaro goes for the greedy forge nexus against Vorti’s overpool, but vorti was able to runby with 2 lings and get some harrass into Entaro’s main. Entaro opts for Sair/DT into storm/reavers on 2 base and does moderate harrass to vorti’s economy with meh storm drops, but really does nothing and Vorti just macro rolls over Entaro.

Sas 3-1 AoV

GAME 5 BEST GAME OF THE SEASON SO FAR, THE MOST EPIC OF TVTS TO EVER BE WITNESSED.

Game 5 featured Brielle vs Non on Tau cross. Both players opted for vulture expand and we already start to see the epicness of this with the vultures of both players dueling with vultures at Brielle’s natural. Command Centers finishes at the same time, and both players go for basically the same build. Siege lines starts to build outside of Brielle’s natural and Non drops an early starport for drops. Brielle attempts to backstab Non through the bottom of the map, but Non gets mines out and some tanks to hold Non’s space around the 3rd, starting the 2nd tank line. Brielle breaks out the first tank line with a wratih and forces non’s tanks to back off. Non now drops 4 tanks onto the ledge of Brielle’s Natural, shutting that down all the while Brielle is taking a ninja expansion at the 6’clock natural. Brielle answered the drop with 2 tanks and 2 goliaths onto the ledge of Non’s natural. Non tries to counter drop it but messes up the micro and Brielle keeps his tanks alive. So both players have their natural shut down, but still have 3rds up and going. Brielle goes for the drop in the main of Non, who loses alot of units to stop the drop. Brielle drops at Non’s 3rd while Non’s goliaths are shooting their own Refinery. Non now only has mining at the natural while Brielle has his 3rd going (both mains are almost mined out). Brielle clears the tanks at Non’s 3rd to stop mining there, while Non drops 4 more tanks at Brielle’s 3rd ledge to stop mining there. Brielle takes his close 3rd and still is yet to retake his natural. He attempts a big attack onto non, but with the dropship battles that ensue, Non was finally able to clear the tanks off of his natural ledge. Non goes for a big drop into Brielle’s main base while Brielle is breaking Non’s naturall with pulled SCVs and tanks. Brielle is forced to lift factories to his close 3rd while Non is forced to lift CC at his natural. At this part, Brielle only has 1.5 mining bases and Non has none, dropping scvs onto tanks to kill them. Non goes for the attack at Brielle’s new main. Tanks trade off, and Non is sieging Brielle’s new main. Non takes a sneaky base at 4, while Brielle drops SCVs to kill the tanks sieging that base. More of Non’s tanks siege at Brielle’s close 3rd, shutting that down. Brielle throws down 2 barracks and starts to pump marines out of it at the ninja expo. Brielle floats his factories to the base outside of Non’s main base. Non sends 2 dropship to Brielle’s faraway expansion but gets scouted by Brielle’s marine medic force. Brielle cleans up the dropships. Brielle cleans up the tanks at the ledge, and Non taps out, having no way to come back now.

Game 6 was the final game of series, with Mewka going for fudged9/9 proxy gates (he went 10/10)

in the middle of Fighting spirit, and Zaraki goes 9pool and scouts the gates with his drones right. And that’s all she wrote. Mewka taps out after seeing the 9pool and fudging his 2nd gate timing, giving sas the 4-2 win over AoV

Marwin vs Voddy showmatch

Game 1 started out in true show match fashion on Alternative, with Marwin proxing a barracks inside of Voddy’s main, and building 2 bunkers. Voddy was able to micro well and was able to sustain the losses as Marwin cut scv production hard for this. Then Voddy returned the favor with a bunker inside Marwin’s main base and with a factory proxied at Marwin’s natural pumping vultures, Marwin was unable to take the beating and tapped out.

Game 2 featured Voddy going for 1 fact build against Marwin’s 14cc. Voddy scouted the 14 cc and threw down another factory, making it a 2 fact build for him. And as we all can imagine, that went well for Marwin, having not enough units in time to defend Voddy's attack

Game 3 was on that crazy weird valley map that had only 1 pathway through the middle. Marwin attempted to go for battlecruisers, but Voddy went for a bio army with a stim timing. Marwin was able to get 1 battlecruiser out, but it wasn’t enough for the army size that Voddy had amassed by then

PsB vs. iM)

Game 1 opened with Voddy vs MVP in which MVP goes for a large ling attack but voddy had exceptional micro and was able to hold that off with relative ease. He then was able to transition quite and MVP was economically behind, never quite able to secure a 3rd gas.

Game 2, Modesty played against Dr shrinker on collosseum. Modesty was able to get himself safely onto 3 bases, and to keep shrinker from safely securing his 3rd, but then crumbled to shrinker’s late game harrass while shrinker was stopping Modesty’s attempts to secure a 4th and 5th base.

Game 3, Endinglife faced of Splax on Outsider. Splax took the back door mineral only while holding his ramp against Endinglife’s agression, and was able to ride that to a economic victory over Endinglife. Endinglife also never scouted that mineral only so…..

Game 4, Fazers faced off against Dragon on Overwatch where Dragon’s good engagements in the late game allowed him to overrun Fazer’s defensive postures.

Swedish Brood War Teamleague

E/N: 2pac bothers the writer team about not providing the liquidpedia link in our writeups, so we posted it. Happy, 2pac? Sheesh, I got finals to study for.

Imma let you finish ranting about your team XKCD, but next week gonna feature two of the most important Clan Wars of all time! Even Jaehoon didn't even recall such an intense race for the pivotal qualifying spots and this sentence is really trying so hard it barely makes sense. The eagles currently try to finish the Multi Player like Flash did and they're quite successful doing so. As Exocid pointed out in his interview, their hidden talents v0rti and especially Lumix performed well and now they're holding the first place. For now. But the battle's raging, it'll soon shake your windows and rattle your walls!

Currently it seems as if Los Reyes Del Mambo Evolution and the Eagles are relatively safe, they're most likely the first two for the play offs. However, the international Federation of Untouchables, Pealthbunnies / Stain, LaGFree and with outsider chances insanity without Limits have a word to say, too. LaGFree might kick down iwL, screaming this is Machu Picchu, might be iwL decides to finally use their strong players Ramms, Biggus and Ace and be like Respect my Authoritah. We'll see next week. We can assume the players will be playing a race (L_Master wisdoms 4tw).

Los Reyes Del Mambo is safe, iFU not so much, it is known. It is also known that iFU has a lot of over 9000 Russians like Tama, TTF and such, also Marwin, while all LRM has is Zerg. Literally, and with literally I mean figuratively, all they have is Zerg (and Wallace). There's no non Zerg. Et tu Sziky. This shit's going down, seriously, there's a lot of potential right there for mass murder. So far LRM had relatively easy opponents with relatively few skilled players, next week they might run into a wall. There's the minor possibility for a Scan vs Sziky, since both should be around to play in the ICCup Main Event Day 2. You know what really grinds my gears? That this doesn't happen right now.

We still wait for the day that somebody who is not me or (or one time dRaW) opens a LR himself. You do not have to make it look professional. Be Obama. Yes, you can! I thought, maybe you need resources, additional pylons to help you. Here, have some updated clan logos.

Uh, hi guys. I am NinaZerg, I came up with the ID because my name is Nina and I play Zerg. I was raised by wolves, and was eventually integrated into human society after a long rehabilitation process, although I still sometimes sleep in the woods and kill deers and eat them raw.

What's your impression of the SBWI Teamleague so far?

I think it's a step in the right direction. Obviously, BroodWar is struggling outside of Korea, and I've been telling rich entrepreneurs who want to sponsor BW shit that there should be a new team league for awhile. I like everything the Russians do, but there is a slight cultural disconnect between them and English-speaker because of language and time differences, so I feel like the more the English-speaking community does for itself, the better off they'll be.

What do you have against the Russians? Is it because you're up against yoda in the SBWI Award Votings?

Yoda should win. If I beat him, that would be a travesty. But no, I love Russia. I'm not saying we shouldn't participate in their community and vice-versa. I'm saying what they're doing is good and we should follow their example and make strong fatherland of BroodWar.

Good safe there. Do you have a favourite team? (this includes a why if you have one)

I have a lot of friends on a whole bunch of teams, but I have to go with iFU, those guys are really cool.

He's a national treasure. I hate popularity contests because we already have so many things that divide us that it seems frivolous to construct an artifical division for an arbitrary goal. It's like paper money. It has value because people give it value, just like everything else, except that a pure popularity contest is devoid of substance.

Oxide and Overwatch

I think they are terrible. Oxide is annoying and ugly. Overwatch is wildly imbalanced, and is like Polaris Rhapsody part 2, and basically is Terran > all. Whoever makes and picks the maps really should go through a wide range of maps before making a selection, otherwise you're going to get shitty maps if you just look at the first one you get and go "Oh, that looks good!" but there's no way to do this so we're all fucked and esports is dead.

I will tell Freakling and NegativeZero then. What was your highlight of the STL so far?

Tell us more about your relationship with Eywa and how you managed to lose a Grudge Match against him please : - )

I've beaten him many, many times. That was a long time ago, and I'm a person and player now. I just look to the future, and know that it might be less shitty than the past if I try my hardest not to fuck up at life. Really, losing at StarCraft isn't important in the grand scheme of things, so I just try to keep things in perspective and remind myself that I crushed Eywa like 9 games in a row after that and made him scared for his life so he is hiding from Teamliquid.

Also, he has AIDS.

Super AIDS. That makes him HIV-positive and gay.

It's really the only positive thing about him these days.

Anyhow, let's talk about your ongoing projects. How is the ERTL or ERIT or whatever going and how do you feel about it?

I announced I would start it two days ago and have done nothing, so I feel like it's going well. I came up with the concept knowing that the DRTL was full of C rank players, so I figured the only true way for D players to play D players would be to have an E rank tour. For those unfamiliar with what "E" rank is, it's a special rank introduced by iccup for people who are lower than D-. The reason I didn't start the tour yet is purely a lack of motivation to "organize". Some of my friends offered to help, so I'm gonna take them up on it, but I don't want them to do casts and bash on the D- players. I think it's not the casters' job to point out players' mistakes. It's their job to explain what the fuck is happening in the game and why it's happening.

Is this a hint to all the casters, including hacklemaster, out there? Or is this reserved only for a few?

Well, I don't have anyone in mind to cast yet. Xkcd offered to do it, but I'm not sure about that yet. He is young and inexperienced, and will need a co-caster. I just don't want the casters to bash the players, because the games WILL be full of absolute noobiness if this happens. They would have to come up with a plan of what to be saying when nothing is happening, because D- players play very very very slowly.

Yes, young XKCD seems to do a lot lately. What's your thought about his write ups, given that you have some experience in the field

They're okay. I didn't like the muppet-themed one because it bashed all the players. I mean, foreigner games can have a lot of face-palm and dull moments, but Jesus Christ.

We got some "concerned statements" from 2pac for including memes and half naked women and he was telling us at one point he might be forced to censor. Can you understand that? #nocensorship

Well, memes are funny to like half of internet users and absolutely irritating to the other half, so just from a publicity stand-point, that seems suicidal. Sadly, half-naked women will probably drive viewership up. I won't get naked though. The less naked I am, the better off the world is.

Do you think it's hard to be a girl on TL? Or on Defiler? Since you mentioned the naked pics of you.

I think life is tough, no matter who you are. At least I'm not in Thailand as a sex slave or in Somalia starving.

Lately, there seems to be a new demand for Grudge Matches. Apparently, this kid I interviewed last week, MVP, played Sero, whom I never heard of, but who's apparently quite cool. I think the LR was shit. Please write a short tutorial how to do better - now.

I guess people need to realize that every grudgematch thread will go to shit, so if you don't want to read shit, you can do two things: 1) Don't read a thread that has the [Grudgematch] label, 2) Don't read a CharlieMurphy thread. I think it also helps if people know who the fuck the players are. Sero rarely posts on TL, so even I don't know what he's like besides that he has a good sense of humor. He could be a child rapist for all I know. So, make sure the grudgematch thread has quotes from the players so people can decide which one is the douchiest. Preferably, they should both really douchey. Like, do Kiante vs SNM. WAIT NO. Too much douche... that might cause the universe to explode.

And make a banner. It should be a picture of an epic battle from history with some generic text on it. None of this stupid MS paint-drawn words. That's so unfunny that it hurts. Use fonts.

You're also known to write a lot of sarcastic nonsense posts. Then you surprise everyone by publishing a giant ass ZvP Guide. How and why the guide?

hm, good question...

Well, I felt like there wasn't any up-to-date ZvP shit on LP, so I worked with some other guys to create a build order on Liquipedia. I also had some friends working on ZvP, and it seems like in general, most people who are new to Zerg have a lot of difficulty with the match-up. I found myself explaining the same shit over and over to different people, so I figured I'd just put all the stuff into a guide. I don't really consider it like a "how-to" guide, but more like general advice, because you can play however the hell you want, and it's mostly a long-game advice guide... also I linked a bunch of other Zerg shit at the bottom, because I'm not the supreme authority on strategy by any stretch of the imagination.

When's that one coming?

Dunno really, I also like the idea of doing some stuff for Terran versus Zerg and vice-versa, and PvT
I really like writing, so that part won't be hard, but I have a morbid fear of posting inaccurate information and being totally wrong, then ruining someone's SC run.

Like if I say "Never try to go up a ramp with marine/medic if there are lurkers up at the top" then some kid sees 1 lurker on top of a ramp and goes "Nope, I can't do that, the guide said not to." and loses an easy game.

Do you think that's the main reason of people not contributing? For the fear of being wrong?

I would say most people feel the same way as me, and don't want to put out information if they're noobs, but I also think there are other people who are just self-conscious about their English, and then lazy people, and then people who just figure that "other people will do it". One thing that I guess I can give myself credit for is being thoughtful about what I'm doing. I'm not pretending to be expert, and just give the best advice I can with the limited knowledge I have.

But I also test this shit out, so if I find something that works, then maybe it's worth sharing.

Did you ever consider adding it to LiquiDpedia? If no, why not?

I don't consider people I help "students" per se, I just try to help them as much as I can, and whatever they win, I let them get the credit, because they put in 99% of the work anyhow

About taking credit, people didn't really recognize your work for the first edition of GGEsports. Do you plan to make something similar to it in the near future?

Eh, it's fine. I'm not wildly obsessed with getting credit for stuff. But yeah, I've been thinking about that, just the ESPORTS news moves really quickly, so I'd have to write it up and then publish it really fast, and I tend to be bad at that sort of thing. It'd be nice if my writing staff actually existed. Except for Karen. She's a bitch.

Also, GGeS3 would have a "Scarlett nude pics leaked" article. It'd have to happen. But anyhow...

Ok, name the three most positive and the three most negative things you were involved with in the BW scene!

Positive things - probably just all the friends I've made, ZvP guide, and my favorite clans to be in: aG, [wOk], iFU, sGs - really great people!

Negative things - The worst thing I did was release the ISL1 replays to the public. That was like pouring gasoline on a fire and I wish I'd never done that. Also, every time I've entered Clan X17 channel, it scarred me for life.

I wish I could get along with people better and just not be such a bitch. It's not my job to point out everything that I think is stupid/wrong that is said. And not to be so angry when I lose that I can't congratulate the other player for the effort they put into playing the game. I have been trying hard to be better and I'm slowly getting there I guess.

What the fuck is Khaleesi? The most interesting story line is Lumix being undefeated champion. 3-0 baby. If Lumix doesn't bring in the viewers I don't know what would.

Where's the Lumix favouritism coming from?

He is Terran and the best player on sas. I have so much respect for him not taking Sziky's spotlight when sas was dominating Gambit's Cup. It wouldn't be fair to the other teams, you know?

Tell us a bit about the SBWI meetings. Were you at some? How are the people? Are they as weird as you?

I have been to most of them since I joined. Jaevlaterran is a true viking that's for sure.We had a meet up for the TLS 1 final. But it was during easter and none came. So we were only three there. After the finals finished we stayed up and watched Brood War until like 8 am the next morning. It was really nice.

SBWI seems to be heartwarming people - your pyjama party, Marwin and vOddy having a bromance. Why does nobody ever take pictures?

We are too busy watching Brood War and discussing the ridiculous translations of Brood War units & buildings into Swedish. I think I took a picture at the SSL8 final meet-up :3 Jaevlaterran has many good stories to tell too.

You're also a puzzle piece man aka. liquiDpedia contributor - what do you do for Liquipedia?

I used to do a lot of stuff revolving around the Korean scene like tournaments, player pages etc. I also did the switch infobox switch on all the players. I really do a little bit of everything. I haven't done anything lately though. Too much studying

They are hilarious. I tend to write more boring, serious, and tedious stuff with too much statistics. The comedy fits a lot more to the team league style. You guys should totally get more rivalry into it though. pls no drama ;;

Well Lumix wasn't on the list for anything. Which is atrocious. So I had to pick Sziky for player and Zerg, there isn't much discussion there: 3 TLS championships, taking games off of Koreans. Too stronk.

Nobody does. Nobody threatened us. I was for it, because one time in one LR for one minute the NiceLis Defiler meme was gone and I like Nicelis. 2pac- just sighs and still helps. No drama. We can rant about Exoipe not doing PR work and answering like a girl in interviews, but writing essays when he's not. That's totally legit.
