Many StarCraft fans have strong Google-fu, and some even have cursory Korean understanding or at least writing given that the written language is so easy, but it'd most likely be "it can't be real Korean song" on Google or something like that.
I am spending a lot of time just watching T on twitch.
I watch Artosis, Gypsy, Terror and Nyoken. Every day, no day off, for years, and loving it.
With no disrespect I would like to make an assumption. I am not a professional gamer, but enjoy learning about the game and love watching it. And actually its the complete opposite, I respect and admire each one of them. They are amazing to watch, to listen to and to learn from. I love it.
So please forgive me if I make the following assumption, without wanting to cause any harm:
Artosis: pros: extremely articulate and knowledgeable. His knowledge drops on ASL streams are for me better than the action and engages itself. He has dedicated his life to study the art of broodwar and Terran specifically. I will always take my hat off and listen carefully and absorb for what he says. con: in my humble opinion, I noticed he takes a little longer responding to what happens on the mini map, sometimes a few seconds late, his vulture tank push v P is solid yet his tank distribution is sometimes off and vulnerable and leaves him exposed. V Zerg I like his aggression, love his M/M, yet he seems to remain on his natural for too long and not expand further. Sometimes I also notice he floats 1k minerals when engaged and not remaxing. Perhaps this could be improved. Noticed his level mainly hovering around 2050, peaking at 2150-2180 but then suddenly dropping 50 to 100 MMR and being back to 2050. This seems to be reoccurring. Another aspect is his passion for the game, which I admire more than anything. Yet, I know he likes to rage v P etc, but if he loses a game, the probability of losing again and then losing again and thus resulting in a downward spiral is noticeable. Is tilt and emotions something he can work on to improve and gain more MMR? I personally in my humble opinion think so, but I dont disrespect.
Nyoken and Gypsy: forgive me for not separating the both, for each one is individual. I notice a great deal of mechanical mastery and game knowledge alike. I really enjoy watching both and think they are very respectable foreign T streamers. Today Gypsy was examining Artosis´s 2 fac build in regards to whether he should expand sooner or go into armory etc. I was totally in awe and positively surprised about how strong his build order sense is. I really liked it. Thank you Gyp. Nyoken more of a quiet gamer, ie, not raging and smashing things when things dont go plan... I very much like him and enjoy his streams. Current and recent MMR levels range is around 2150-2200 if I am not mislead. Thank you to both.
Terror: Boy, I dont want to be biased, but when I switch from an 5 hr Arto session to Terror, the level of mechanics and awareness is just so much higher. Regarding the minimap topic, terror seems to be totally on top on what is happening around him. He also remaxes quickly. If I compare his 2 Fac pushes or max out pushes v P to Artosis, it looks a lot cleaner and very very threatening. Make no mistake, I believe Terror is an absolute force and 1 or 2 levels above the other 3 I mentioned, based on my personal observations. Terror obviously doesnt speak a lot, doesnt discuss much builds, he just gets on with his job, which I totally accept and respect. But purely watching the speed and mechanical power he possesses, its hard to believe in a b07 he would drop more than 2 games to the above. Or am I being biased? Also while Arto goes very much the same build v P and Z every time..I love seeing Terror doing a 1-1-1, something I havent seen Arto doing ever in years. Or his amazing enjoyable nuke builds v P. I mean he is just so proficient with a multitude of builds and when you watch his games, surely you wont be bored by repetition. Terror in my eyes has it all. Having multiple accounts around 2200 or 2250 and close to 2300 or touching it. I even believe he can inflict pain on ASL pros if he were to ever qualify.
So the above was my assessment, respectful and thankful to each individual, yet trying to see differences and setting them apart.
My question to the community is the following:
If you were to compare the above streamers, how would you personally see their strengths and weaknesses and where do you see room for improvement?

It's like saying that you believe Donald Trump would be competitive with top 100m sprinters if he were to qualify for the US Olympic team. It's true in the sense that if he made it onto the Olympic team that'd probably imply that he's pretty fast but it's nonsense because it's not going to happen.
In a world where Artosis could get through qualifiers then sure, he'd probably be able to beat some pros. But we don't live in that world. Artosis isn't going to pass qualifiers and Trump isn't becoming an Olympic sprinter.
ASL pros are far far above 2300 MMR that implying someone that barely touches that level can beat them is funny. The other posters aren't trying to be difficult, but they are trying to send the message that none of the guys that you mentioned will ever qualify for ASL (unlikely) and beat expros afterwards or in quals (extremely unlikely). The top Korean amateurs who are far better than these guys have a hard time making ASL so how could players far below even that level qualify and beat the expros who dominate ASL?
There's players who are 2700-2800 and have never qualified for ASL. Qualifying for ASL isn't as easy as you think it is, let alone winning games in the group stage :D
When you watch the occasional tournament games between one of the top foreigners and a top Korean amateur or pro, you can answer this question yourself. Maybe a foreigner can win a map with an allin the Korean didn't see coming or he reacted wrong, but the chances for winning a Bo3 is <1% and the ASL qualifiers have a lot of Bo3s. I remember that Terror won vs Larva once with a fake mech opening into sunken bust on 1 base because Larva didn't see that coming and it was like 6am for him and he was very tired. That is what it takes to beat a Korean pro. But you won't have tired pros who don't really care at the ASL qualifiers.
yeah i like terror for the aspects that you mentioned (creativity), its rare to find those kind of terran players nowadays, almost all are basically textbook cut-from-the-same-cloth kind of players. terror macro and execution is still lacking compared to even top korean amateurs so unfortunately his positive attributes are still not going to be enough to get anyway near ASL qual levels
just watch Last's stream/yt channel where he trolls the upper echelon of ladder with all sorts of wonky builds for example :D

@avi-love Maaan you're unnecessarily harsh for no reason. A simple no would suffice. Take a chill pill. It's his first posts, he doesn't stomp in here shouting absolutes. He asks nicely for opinions. If ur tired of foreigners overestimating themselves then take it with them.
@actionzg just ignore him, ask away. There's BW people who will take u seriously, not call u delusional when you've got a faulty assumption. Maybe join the bw discords if TL is too elitist/cold.
I don't watch a lot of Terran streams so can't add much to the streamer discussion but most of it sounds reasonable. Terror is imo the best foreign Terran right now.
