These maps blow my mind.
No wonder Blizz killed this shit.
I'll try to fix them.

This map is so tight.
Pathing is sure to fuck up.

Simcity 2000 editor had a button that generated randomised terrain. I can't remember if the starcraft editor had a random terrain button or not (probably not), but some of these maps look like someone just placed some minerals gas and starting positions at randomised terrain. Holy crap these are so bad it's funny

I can't stop laughing at Dpsig, I shouldn't be reading this thread at work. It's the Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff of Map Design. The real winners of such a tournament would be the viewers. Casters will be me at E rank and maybe a friend who's never played BW, but we'd all use bad staticky mikes, and a modern OS without the color fix.

This one is absolutely my favorite.

Protoss has no pylons, but does have a reaver.

Zerg has no minerals, but he has some infesteds... ... on an island.

Terran has to load his SCVs into his CC and fly away from the zergling rush.
A map definitely ahead of it's time.

A lot of these maps are really unorthodox compared to the standard ones, such as Fighting Spirit or Jade, and I have a hard time imagining there being entertaining games on them. Having said that, though, there are some maps I would be really interested in seeing competitive play on:

1. Out a Time (fixed version)
2. Vainglorious (fixed version)
3. Ashes to Ashes (fixed version)
4. Goldrush (fixed version)
5. Simplicity (fixed version)

Just for the record, Goldrush is my favorite map of these five. Excellent work, by the way, Mr. Trozz. Even if these maps aren't used in the future, it was amusing just to browse through them (especially that Dpsig--what a work of art).

This reminded me of Starcraft Insurrection (or was it Retribution?) that had 1 good campaign map, where you would rescue a terran base that would get under constant attack of queens (the computer would recive tons of them) so you had to put your whole infrantry into bunkers fast and go air (or reaver, since I think you also had access to protoss tech).

-You forgot to switch minerals and geysers to neutral (P12), thus they disappear.

We've got enough fine casters and players even from the userbase that this may fill the void until the next Sonic events etc
