define easier? It really doesnt matter what hotkey setup you use. What matters is how you practice it. Someone like Sziky would still destroy some if not most Grand Masters if they used the same hotkey setups on BW they use on SC2.

Yes, which would make him even better than he is right now. Why do people suddenly want to change the core of a 15 years old game that was flawless?

guessing because they want to make things easier, not sure though. I don't see anything wrong with the current hotkeys since it's easier to remember(first or second letter for units).

It would be better to compare two Szikys, one with regular hotkeys and one with changed hotkeys under the assumption that both have practiced an equal amount of time with respective hotkeys. I'd argue the latter Sziky would win in a match between the two. I personally wouldn't mind at all my opponents using different hotkeys on ladder, since it's just ladder, only tournaments could be a problem.
I just don't get it. Remapping the keyboard via 3rd party is ok, while it is a horrible idea to include this feature into some kind of launcher to make it easier for newcomers to get going?
I don't follow the logic. How does remapping the keyboard make it easier for newcomers? It just adds another thing you have to think carefully about before you can start playing if you want to practice what you will end up using when you get better. The way it is by default, the hotkeys are the first or second letter of the unit you want to build, which is easier for new players to learn. For veteran players, it'll just be really annoying to have to retrain your muscle memory to a more optimal setup. The only person it appeals to is the person who doesn't like one or two hotkeys and wants to change them, but even for that person it won't be satisfying because now it will become standard to have to think about all sub-optimal hotkeys, including the ones you were okay with. It just feels like lose-lose all around for something that is totally meta. Having standardized controls for all users across all servers (even if different languages of StarCraft have different keys), makes things way easier. None of the keys are really obnoxious to hit, you will have to learn the muscle memory whether you remap the key or not, so you might as well learn keys you can use anywhere.
I always hit P instead of O in tvp 200/200 battles

Rofl, you mean 1a2a3a4a5a6a. Or for others 4a5a6a7a8a9a (myself). Doing that isn't too easy, on top of all the other things you have to do while playing.

If you guys are having trouble with this, you could probably ask the guys at Forged Alliance Forever for some help. They have an insane server running there, auto matchmaking, replays automatically being sent to an online server and saved for some time, and live spectating games that have already started. they recently added some new feature that automatically puts you in a mumble server with your team when playing a team match if you check the setting. Pretty sure they have tournament signups built into the interface too. It's also nice that I rarely lag when playing on the server. Ze_Pilot is a really nice guy so he'll probably help you guys out!
