dunno how regular game play would be on this map if they had adjacent bases ... i think it would just be 100% rushes :-O which sometimes can be fun :-P | ||

There might be some pathing issues with the mineral block, though, because it is the closest route to the adjacent base on all positions, it looks like. So, if you attack moved from main to main, the units would try to go through the minerals instead of down the ramps. This might be a bit annoying. When you guys playtest it, see if it's a problem. | ||

Very good map Starparty, the concept of having more start positions to create variety in 1on1s do work in this map, but in the positions where the ramps face each other can make for boring 1on1s (Terran siege and everythings over for Protoss) or, it could be really fun games. I don't really know, this is a thing that has to be play tested. It could be changed for the better. Anyway it is a great 3vs3 and 4vs4 map, much better then The Hunters. You could as bongee said, remove the minerals and make the expansions into island. Or... remove those expansions all together. I don’t know if you really want to have the ramps pointing at one another, 6, 12, 9 and 3 o clock. Or if you've done it because you believe you don't have any other choice. Yellow and Whites ramps at 6 and Purple/Team at 12 can pretty easily have their ramps pointed away from each other. Positions 9 and 3 are a bit trickier. My Idea was a bit different but I'm glad to help if I can. | ||

Its a map based on the same principles: 8player 8 hills 128x128 size. there is not many other ways of solving the placement issue.. however our map is in no way based on that creation. Just to pinpoint it out: If you doubt us, look closely for terrain resemblances and you will find absolutely nothing at all. | ||

The more players on a map, the more limited the design becomes, which is why I enjoy making 2 player maps. The Overmind is better than that 8 player LT anyway because the LT one is too Terran biased. | ||
