Boxer has placed 3rd multiple times in OGN, top 8 even more.
NO ONE has been as consistant as him, EVER.

Umm....Boxer may deserve all the $$ due to all the things he has accomplished, but Boxer DID have the easiest trip to the Ever OSL finals. Arguing against that is only rediculous. Out of all 8 players, boxer did faced 2 of the players that he would have a best shot against.
Seriously, how can anyone argue that Boxer did not have the easiest OSL trip than his competitors? Would anyone put Sync and Yellow over as being better than JulyZerg, Xellos, Nada, Reach, or Iloveoov?
28-25 is hard? JTRNSG*Y%. That's more than 50% winning odds. If Boxer was up against JulyZerg, Xellos, Nada, Reach, or Iloveoov, he would have had anywhere between less to alot less than 50% odds of winning.

Well u can bash about skill all u want, the reason Boxer gets the money is simple. If there is group of vods u can download one at a time, which would u get first boxer victories, or oov victories? Well I would dl all Boxer games, then Yellow games then themarine games and then maybe oov or Nada. Why ? Just cause Boxer is the real victor. He is a hero, he is a star, oov is just a gorilla, skilled but still a gorilla.
And about the skill part, ohm Boxer is around for how long? Yes THAT LOOONNNNNNGGGGG! I don't think any gamer has been considered top notch for so long. And as the manager of SKT1 said usually Boxer and Oov are like 5:5 out of ten games - so I consider Boxer to be very strong.

when reach/sync moved to KTF(late 2003?), the first contracts they got were, Reach-->50,000 US$ and Sync-->30,000. at that time, both were not in sharp. what each of em achieved before was one OSL champ title. so why reach earned more? that's the point. he's more popular.

Yes, i have to say Boxer is no longer invincible as he used to be but he is still among the top players.Most importantly, he is not a SC player in Korea, he is a super star who enjoyed more popularity and appeared more often on commercials than even the famous singers or film stars. He' s got the largest fans club and charming appears(esp. in the eyes of Korean girl fans). What Boxer to SC is Michael Jordan to NBA.

Yes, popularity does count alot, which is why Boxer does deservingly gets his salary. Pro gaming can't be how it is today without Boxer. But MoltkeWarding did make some good valid points which are actually true for pretty much the most part, and everybody starts rediculously jumping on him on a bandwagon like he's an idiot.
Though I wish instead of Boxer, Reach and Nada getting all the top salaries, that salaries are more evenly-distributed among players. Most players ranked #15 and below don't make enough to support themselves.
Although the top ranked players should definitely deserve more salaries, the salaries gap between a top level player and a near-top level player is too significant in my eyes.

I hope they enjoy paying him to look pretty on posters and group photos because I do not expect him to have much more tv time than that. Yes he is a BW icon but at the same time, there is a problem when a player who is not even ranked in the top 10 in KESPA rankings is the highest payed player in the game.
Obviously it's tough to throw endless money at Julyzerg for being the top player right now because he's still relatively new to the leaderboard, but players such as oov and nada have both proven themselves time and time again over the last couple years where most of boxer's accomplishments have been insignificant.

Did I say that? My reasoning is that people are more upset about Boxer's loss than they are impressed by Yellow or Reach's wins over him. Which is why they are T_T Boxer not ^_^ Yellow/Reach.

That is probably wrong. Zergman and Julyzerg have the same (korean) name. Boxer defeated Zergman in Challenge League yesterday, not July.
