Firstly, it's not because in some industries people are being criticized badly that you need to assume it's good. And did you know that ''bullying'' in highschools is mostly a joke for those who do it to others ? Those that have to endure it, they feel the real thing, they feel pain. As the ''foreigner'' StarCraft universe and the Pro-gaming community tend to connect more and more, I feel it's really irresponsible from the Western's biggest StarCraft community site to let people bash one of the best progamers like this in their forums, and especially now and then on the main page. What if Mumyung heard of that already ? I know most of you don't care, but I wouldn't want to have most of you immature guys as friends anyways ! And you should definitely owe him respect. Respect, at the least, is being ''neutral'', and not being a dick insulting for no reasons. | ||

also ive seen mumyung do some good things in a couple of games its just that he is inconsistent. he needs to learn to end the game. also hes got pretty good practice partners dam that map is hard to block for corsair reaver if used correctly. i can understand what happened but dam 45 kills????? | ||

As for Mumyung, as a fan of pro BW I die a little inside everytime I see his mindless, microless, souless playing. There are macro players like Nada and Oov that are still really cool to watch, and then there's Yung...bah...a complete lack of sense of the game and pure macro play, so much so, that it is at the expense of everything else. And he's predictable as shit. Don't ever tell me who I can and can't bash. I can and will bash Yung until he stops ruining pro touries by needlessly qualifying, just to beat a couple of terrans who are 2 porting and loss to everyone else. | ||

back to the topic: in another sc forum there's a nice discussion about this game in association with the one between ra/gorush last week. basically someone said pvz on requiem is hard if p is using a conventional build. but ra somehow used his strats to cut requiem into an island-type map, which put the zerg into complete disadvantage. ppl may have noticed that in ra's game he built only a single gate and a single zealot from it, that's all his regular unit! he won the game with air-control and drops just like on islands. Reach obviously learned sth from his tricky partner. the toss duos are having a lot of fun together. | ||

However with all respect, that doesn't change the fact that you don't have to be better than someone in order to criticize that person. If that's wrong then 99.999% of the people should never criticize a movie they saw since these people can never even write/direct movies in the first place. Surely the directors of these movies never harmed them or did anything that would affect the people, they just did their best and wrote movies to try to entertain people as well as make money at the same time (which is exactly like progamers). But if someone thinks a movie is bad, there shouldn't be anything that stops him from saying so and criticizing the movie, even with the fact that that person has no talents to write/direct movies in the first place. This same idea applies with any other industries, including Starcraft. Mumuyng lost 0-8 vs Reach (even in Reach's worst matchup), and you're saying people who criticize him are idiots. To translate what you wrote into something we can better generalize: That's like saying anyone who can't write/direct smash hit movies should ever say that a movie they saw is bad and say it, and if they think any movie is bad, they're idiots. Go to Hollywood and become a movie director and make some smash hit movies before you criticize or bash a movie. You can replace movie directors with singers, sportsplayers, products made by any company, authors, starcraft players, or whatever you want in the above paragraph and it would still make perfect sense (or should I say make no sense?). What that's unacceptable is if you say it to his face. For example, going up to a director of a movie face to face and tell him that his movie sucked is rude and unacceptable. Just like going up to Mumuyng face to face and tell him that he sucks as a progamer. That's rude and unacceptable. However, there is absolutely nothing wrong with criticizing him in a forum. Although it is true that there are lots of players who are even worse than Mumuyng, and that mumuyng isn't all as bad as some people are saying he is, there should not be a problem criticizing him if someone thinks so if there's a reasoning behind it. And trust me anyone who criticizes mumuyng definitely has a reason behind it to do so. | ||

The fact that they say player A sucks and player B is good(perhaps not in this thread, but in others) is not only hypocrisy, it's asinine. You cannot claim that player B is better than player A when player A's accomplishments with the same difficulty level are well above Player B's. Why not just use the mathematical formulas B > A = A > B. Doesn't really work. FrEaK PS - I know in some ways you can make it so B > A = A > B, it was just to emphasize the point. | ||

He may not be in the same 'league' metaphorically as his peers, but hes still better than a huge chunk of the korean community, which speaks volumes for his capabilities. His zvt is not that boring taking in account that midgame leaves the player very few choices anyway, and wtf, zvz is boring by default. His lukrer micro is very effective in zvt and is hardly worth the bullshit comments here. Although i would conceed he just isnt as exciting to watch than his Pro-gaming peers (i.e being innovative). He just recieves some pretty unneccessary criticism. | ||

Mumyung will ALWAYS get into Next starleague. He just does, no1 can argue that. if boxer trains him, he'll get a LITTLE better. so basically he's always in the starleague. If boxer is his team-mate, BoxeR can easily just own him in the starleague, thus freeing up one spot for boxer. Tricky guy... | ||
