Q: How are you feeling?
A: It's been a while since I've been in a finals. I feel different this time around. Previously, as someone fairly new, I was simply happy to even be in the finals. Now that I'm a veteran, I'm only concentrating on winning it all. I also feel obligated to the audience to play some exciting games.
Q: It was a heated contest all the way to the final set.
A: I didn't expect it to be this difficult. I thought that if I just win the first set, I can win 3-0. But Calm used an unexpected strategy in game 1, and I lost. So I had an uphill battle from then on. But regardless of the score, I kept thinking I was going to advance.
Q: When you scouted in game 1 with your vultures, did you not realize it was lurkers?
A: I didn't expect Calm to use his strategy, and it stunned me for a bit. My reaction was too slow, and defended very badly. As a result I lost.
Q: In the 2nd game, you lost a lot of troops to lurkers
A: When my marines die to hold-lurkers, I thought "man things are going badly for me". But then after a while, i realized the situation was much better than I thought. So I just went on and played standard, thinking I had a good chance.
Q: In the 3rd game, you lost to 4 Pool
A: After the 2nd game, my coach told me to play standard. And then I saw lings coming in, and thought I lost. (laughs) As since I had another game afterwards, I just gged.
Q: Did you use your strategy for game 1 in game 5?
A: I did prepare other strategies. But while playing the series, I thought it was better if I played safe. When I studied Calm's VODs, he likes to play macro style. So I prepared to play macro style. But I couldn't change my style that easily.
Q: Was the BC dance in game 4 revenge for 4 pool?
A: I was annoyed at the way I lost in game 3, so I wanted to brighten up the atmosphere by making a BC. I also saw a sign before game 4 that said to use bunker rush as revenge for 4 pool. So I guess I was feeling a bit vengeful too. In my last attack, I realized that I could win the battle even without the BC, so I just had it dance.
Q: Who do you expect to meet in the finals?
A: Obviously either player can win, but I really want it to be Stork. I feel very confident in my TvP right now, and I feel it's much more entertaining to play Stork.
Q: You know about Stork and the Curse of Gwangju(city in Korea)? (T/N: Do not know exactly the curse, but I'm guessing Stork lost a couple of finals held there)
A: Perhaps if Stork has some bad memories of the place, it will give me an advantage. Stork once beat me in the finals to get his first gold, so I really want revenge. For that reason, I really hope to meet Stork in the finals.
Q: The OSL runs concurrent with SPL. How hard it is to prepare for both?
A: This time I have plenty of time for practice. So I didn't feel any pressure. I'll methodically prepare my strategies, and start practicing when I know who my opponent is.
Q: Last words?
A: I learned a lot from this series. Before, I kept losing in game 5 of a Bo5. This was the first time I won 3-2. So hopefully I've broken the curse, and things will look up for me. And I'll finally stop getting silvers.

Hey 4 pool is legit when terran insists on 14cc or super quick tech with no defense. Clam failed in the macro games disappointed me though. Anyway Fantasy Stork would be an awesome final, so I am not annoyed at outcome even though I like Calm.

It's close for me between Stork and Fantasy, but I'm gonna have to root for fantasy here. Stork already has a gold and could get another in MSL, but Fantasy is the best player right now without a gold and I think he really deserves one.

Ya, even though I'm a huuuuge Stork fan (I cried when he won his OSL  ) and a Fantasy hater, I wouldn't be too sad and upset if Fanta won. He sort of deserves it.

stork hysteria is pretty big right now. Fantasy has a great place as #2 terran, but stork is from TaekBangLeeSsang. He's been good for a long time.

Ahh ok but i still don't really get why the more popular player winning is better for esports. I mean wouldn't Fantasy breaking his own curse whilst also getting revenge be just as healthy for the scene as the more popular Stork sweeping through? Or does no one really care whether Fantasy wins or not?

The thing is that for the scene to be entertaining, there must be a certain level of competition to entice the fans. Hence the Flash/Jaedong domination of the scene was not healthy even one bit. Every OSL and every MSL is either Flash's or Jaedong's by default. You must keep in mind that for almost the past 3 years, either Flash or Jaedong have been the finalist of every single starleague.
Guess who gets left out?
Protoss
Protoss has not won a single league since the era of the six dragons. That's like back in the dinosaur age.
Right now Stork is riding on more hype, and more fanboyism than Fantasy by a significant amount. I like both players. But if I have to pick, I really have to go with Stork.
Besides, even the SKT fanboy inside of me thinks it is hilarious if Fantasy gets a third OSL silver.
Lastly, Stork is pretty old by progaming standard. This season may be his last shot at the leagues before entering the army. Fantasy is still young.

Modesty is on fire right now too. Don't count that out. All Fanta had to do in game 3 was wall-in and it would have stopped the 4 pool like it did in game 4.
I'm hoping for Stork/Fanta finals as well though. Because once Fanta beats Stork in a final, people will finally have to give respect to Fanta.

You do realize that "Stork winning is better for eSports" is a crack at Oov/SKT right? In an interview before PL finals 2 years ago, Oov said that SKT should beat Oz because it was "better for eSports".
I'm pretty sure that Duke was only being semi-serious when he said that. So there's not really a need to over-analyze it.
