During the Bisu vs Jaedong game, the commentator actually mentioned this thread lol. He stated that the "official" (w/e that means) nick for Jaedong is Tyrant and not "Demon King".

when a player constantly gets proleague appearances despite perceived mediocre performance or reputation, he'll get called 私生子, as in the illegitimate child of the coach.
大魔王 is just demon, there is no need for "king."  EffOrt has also been known as the martian demon in his day, because his playing style is highly aggressive and terrorizing, mirroring jaedong.
when a new player shows impressive performance, he'll get called 小强, meaning an upstart, but it also means roaches.
there are a bunch of bonjwa nicknames for really terrible players who are truly impressive in their terribleness.
s2 傻本 the Retard Bonjwa, for his often mindboggling dumbness. this guy is probably the 4th most popular player on T1 for his proficiency in tragic comedy.
n.Die_soO 输本 the Bonjwa of Losing. 输(loss) sounds like soo. he is quite bad, but does not have enough epic fail moments to overtake S2's reputation.
Killer 杀本 the Killing Bonjwa. pretty self explanatory. he is also called the little jaedong when he's doing well.
 CuteAngel 菜本 the Noob Bonjwa. this nick is actually derivative of an older nick, 菜天使, the Noob Angel.
when giving a nickname, a general rule is to relate it to something perverted. examples:
 M18M 毛18， 18摸 the Eighteen Touches, use your imagination on this one.
RorO 柔柔 Soft, alternatively, Massage. use your imagination on this one.
Modesty 摸的死你 Touch you until you die. alternatively, Just Touching and the Touch Bonjwa. imagination may not be sufficiently safe here.
Pure 纯洁 Pure Pure Boy, insinuating lack of experience. 神族内奸 Protoss Traitor, for being good at pvp but terrible at other matchups.

not sure about this one, but there seems to be 3 players named for main characters in saint seiya, and there are sSeiyaome well known seiya references in chinese commentary, such as the idea that "a warrior of athena won't fall for the same attack twice."
Violet Dragon Shiryū, because shiryu is literally the purple dragon in chinese.
Really Pegasus Seiya, because his amateur nick is seiya[gm]
Snow Cygnus Hyōga, because he's really cold.

NaDa 奶大 Babyface, also big boobs, 天才 genius
iloveoov 怪兽 monster, his playing style has been called 重剑无锋, the bladeless claymore, a reference to his strong strategic play that obliterates opponents without showing at first glance when and where the advantage is gained. it's a reference to a legendary weapon in chinese martial arts fantasy. since he's started to coach he's been referred to as the monster coach.
sAviOr has a lot of nicknames.
马监狱 Prisoner Ma, a play on his name Ma Jaeyoon which sounds close to jail in chinese.
马板凳 Benchwarmer Ma, back when he didn't receive a lot of proleague time.
XellOs 春哥 a reference to a masculine looking chinese singer, possibly most popular internet personality in china.
GARIMTO 战神 God of Battles (actually closer to "god of war" than july's nick, which means God of Combat)

He actually meant it as a compliment. You're actually taking the word badass the wrong way. Either that or you're taking the word fucking the wrong way.

That's only because in China, being fat isn't considered in the negative sense as in the US. Although that has been changing in recent years. The name itself is the same, but the connotation is slightly different.
