I was playing neogamei today. Really hard!
However, i got into this tvt. Thats my worst mu and I kind of suck. Things went good anyway and i surprised his 12 tanks force with a bunch of bcs. I took map and killed his main, but then he took another ep and defended it as HELL with wraiths, a few tanks and some bc:s. He was soooo defencive...i would easily have killed him if it wasnt the 200 limit..gaaahhh. I tried to kill him for nerly an hour (!). Suddenly I lost all bc:s to nowhere (i said i suck) and he was back in the game, but i had map and....I tried and tried..he lived without money for about 30 min!! silly shit....I just didnt know what to do being a complete tvt noob! Plz take some mins watching this rep and help me! I dont know what to doooo. (im greenTerran).

I dont play T, but 20 cloaked wraiths would get owned by +2 valks mixed with the BCs wouldnt they?

if wraiths are 3/3 (something I'd expect that late in the game), I don't think they'd be that raped by valks. :/
if you're winning the bc battle, just camp outside his base with bc+tank+goliath and just yamato stuff over and over until he's out of cash.

if u watch the first person vod of nada vs yooi on yaoyuan you will see how desperate he was Yamatoing everything. He even yamatoed goliaths.

basically
you setup a tank defense right outside the range of his tanks
and have goliaths there as well
then you use your bcs to yamato his tanks, (while they're protected by the goliaths)
then you push a bit further with tanks (again, right outside the range of his tanks), move goliath along, then yamato more
until you have him raped.

then again, tvt games that involve bcs are usually very long. If you want a zvz finish you will never get one.

Meh. I hate defensive TvT's aswell.
Was playing one game against a guy who seemed way better than me. Every time I tried something it failed (though not miserably) and he seemed to be expanding everywhere. Eventually I thougth "you got to be shitting me" and assuming that he had over extended I rolled 12 tanks and a few goliaths rigth up his ramp and pwnzed his natural and his main. That kind of got me back in the game but he was sitting at at the other main + natural.
And from there he just built a shitload of tanks and some turrets. I went wraith and killed his island expo and his natural (once) but then 7 walks showed up and my wraith disappread before I had time to do anything. Then he cliffed the remaining naturals and I eventually ran out of gas. I couldn't get enough gas to do go BC's so I had to go golis instead and I really couldn't figure out what to do. So basically he turtled up untill I was out and then we fougth for another 30-40 minutes and I lost. WTF gay.

keep in mind the bc's can yamato outside of their view range. So dont send a bc to the front of the pack to yamato anything if youre feeling nervous, scan and yamato whatever you can in site.

yeah, if i have the advantage in tvt, i almost always try to work up to bcs instead of trying to finish him off with tank gol drops.
one mistake in a big dropship fight can really change the game completely, battlecruisers are so much safer.

U should've gotten plague to plague his wraiths and then used ultralisks to tear up his tanks. FOllow this up with some dark templars and some Dark archons to mind control his men.
Finally, attack with BC but yamato his scv's so he can't get minerals ahahah. GL next game.

nukes are very usefull for pushes too. set it up so he cant reach ghost easily and nuke would get half oh its range in his defense line, scan, if you see him running away -> cancel nuke and take his position.

if you cancel nuke, you will still lose it, so its better to nuke anyways, well, its better to not nuke at all i think, doesnt tank outrange ghost?
and id rather use my gas on something else then ghosts and nukes.

well, if you force push, you sure are gonna lose quiete a bit to siege, so wasting nuke is not that bad, suply it takes might be problematic. Nothing can outranges nukes, ghost+sight upgrade+setting nuke so it gets only ~40% of its blast in their army... Nuke advancing is probably as close to finger of god as you cen get with terran.

Pure Bcs protected by some turrets.Yamato him to death.1BC>3wraiths and is the same limit and about same cost.If he is persistant about his wraiths ,make like 5-6 valks, give them hold(cause they're quite stupid.. ) close to your BCs and don't stop yamatoing..And btw,if you have the map, you should be able to just walk trough him with mass Bcs+some valks...

cant use valks late game. they dont shoot due to sprite bug. it happened to me recently. ;(
oh and 3/3 wraiths really do well vs valks. the up'ed armor really reduces the splash.

that's your opinion but i still think BC's suck, when you have an opportunity to make them and win you should have just already won anyway

i've seen some very rare situations where they are actually good though, but people build them every game for god's sake

I'm sure you know the virtues of terran defense. How do you win without battlecruisers if your enemy sits on resources and makes his own cruisers until he reaches 200/200 and moves out with tank/BC force you are unable to stop? Difficult. Because you see terran's are a hard lot to just kill if they play defense.

because they are fun ^^. Its like making ultralisks to a certain extent. They dont need much micro and just plow their way through most defences.
You are less prone to screw up and lose the advantage when you go for capital units. Like if you keep going for hyra/lurk all through the game they can get blasted by tons of tanks if you screw up your micro. But with ultras, you cant really screw up the micro, same goes with bcs.

If you own map then make MANY turrets, also if you are 200/200, I find it helpful to build way more production buildings than you think are necessary. This way, if you lose your army, you can get it back really fast with all that extra cash you've got saved up because of the limmit.
Also if you watch a lot of top lvl long tvt's you'll see that after they've got 200/200 and a lot of dough built up, they'll suicide SCV's to get extra troops. With these extra troops they run down the opposition who doesn't have as many. Also if you have a vessel always remember to use dmatrix, and if you run out of scan you can EMP the wraiths so that they uncloak.

make units (preferably something that spawns in the same millennium as when you ordered to build it) + attack
