Those guys are only being investigated... They can be innocent. They are even still playing in their matches.

So are there any hard eveidence against anyone so far? I mean 100% confirmed and not just most likely confirmed?

My reaction: This is sad and I hope it's not too spread, and I hope covering it up will be harder than they think and that we finally will get some names.
Until then, I won't judge people and I'll still watch their games.
I'm glad Flash doesn't seem to be involved in this.

For those who said this wasted alot of their time; how can that be true. How did you waste time? If you found it real enough to get emotional and exited about the matches at the time then you've had that experience and they can't take it back. It can only ruin then remaining exitement for you for new matches imo.

If we finally get the list and too many stars are involved and kicked from team, then I might stop watching proffessional starcraft but not before. And I certainly won't change it for SC2.
From now on I think it will be less likely that alot of people do this again atleast:/

According to Reach, he is the fastest learner he has ever seen. He start bw only like 2/3 years ago. Infact, his bw history knowledge is so limited, he didn't even know what the map Guillotine was.

That is the completely wrong approach. That behavior only makes hiding and coverup reasonable. People should stop watching if they DON'T investigate and DON'T fire their stars if they lost intentionally. If players with big names get fired that shoudl eb an extra reason to view SC and buy it if you can.

I hope no players are involved in this, but it would be awful if Bisu, Saviour, or Jaedong were fixing games, it would really hurt this sport and the fans.

Yeah I get what you're saying. I'm not sure though that it really matters if I stop or not since I'm not even paying to watch, or even that it registrers their view ratings... koreans should boycott though until it's investigated. It's a hard call, I want the guilty to be punnished but I don't want the scene to go down because of this. And all those who played honestly shouldn't be punnished...

People will continue to watch pro sc as long as the games are entertaining. Even if 10, 15 of the top progamers are kicked out there will be heaps of kids to take their place.

Yeah, the level of games might be lower, but people were still watching sc back in 2002 or whatever when 150apm was pro

It was clear as day that theyre gonna be trying to cover this shit up. Nobody gains anything from it, except us fans. And obviously all they care about is money, not the fans. Unfortunately they fail to realize that without fans, they can't make money. So I urge everyone to stop watching korean progaming if they really cover all of this up big time. Otherwise you have only yourself to blame for shit like this to happen.

How could he participate in this if he doesn't drop any matches?

You can't extrapolate a few confirmed (unconfirmed?) cases of scandal to the entire progaming population. This is the kind of thing Sea was talking about; there ARE progamers who poured their heart and soul into the game and continue to do so on a daily basis. Yet these hardworking individuals are being hurt just as much as anyone else, simply because people lack the capacity to not lump everyone into the whole "ZOMG GREEDY GAME THROWERS" group... which, I might add, is completely unsubstantiated at this point and based purely on speculation.

Whether BW progaming survives is largely dependent on how the organizers choose to deal with the problem, but it's ALSO dependent on the viewers' (read: us) trust and faith in esports. Until proven otherwise, I'm not going to assume that every single notable progamer worth their salt is suddenly these greedy, game-throwing sons of bitches that people seem to be making them out to be. I'm ALSO not going to retroactively assume that every "suspicious" match that has been played thus far was influenced by shady under-dealings. I mean geez, sometimes a banana is just a banana.

That's because you don't know how much some parts of Korea are corrupted.

yeah just like entire Italy stopped watching soccer after they revealed that match fixing affair a few years ago, or just like nobody watches NBA any more after that referee went to jail for match fixing.

all pro sports are sometimes fixed because all players, coaches and managers are human.

I'm well-aware, thank you. I've lived there for most of my life. I'm still not going to assume everyone involved in BW progaming is "corrupted" and "in on it" though. Wouldn't be fair to the honest folk, whether they're the minority or not.

thing is, if they cover it up, it wont be "proven otherwise".

from here on out i'm done with this issue on tl.net

i've gone rogue

until next time

^^

After this, I've stopped watching all professional BW in Korea. How much time have I wasted watching people lead me on, thinking I was watching SC at its best. So many people involved and nothing done until now.

And it's being covered up?

I want a full list of names and matches, or I'm done.

keep QQing whenever you don't get what you want

i, on the other hand, am more interested in the BW scene than ever. drama isn't always a bad thing

If it takes players throwing matches to get you more interested, why not just watch pro fucking wrestling? I mean, you just want fake drama, right?

Seriously, this isn't the first time cheating has hit BW or pro gaming in general, they'll just be more careful and make the players more aware of the punishment they'll receive.

There's cheating to win.

And then there's cheating to lose because organized crime is paying you off. Thats far worse
