I'll post it here I guess. + Show Spoiler +CJ
CJ Entus, "Plans to strongly respond to malicious accusations about players"Asks people to restrain themselves from spreading rumors.CJ Progaming team revealed that they will strongly respond to false accusations about their gamers accused of fixing games. A CJ affiliate phoned Fomos to let them know about rumors flying around about Savior. They mentioned, "Savior indeed is going through knee surgery. There has been no talk among the team about retiring or displacing Savior." The affiliate added that the investigation about match fixing is on-going and that no one should jump to conclusions that tarnish the reputation of any of the CJ players before anything is confirmed. "As long as these malicious rumors keep spreading to destroy players' reputations, we will strongly respond to them." On the other hand, there have been many articles in the e-sports community about who has fixed matches. According to Code 307, these accusations fall under libel and can be punished under law. Even if the accusations are true, by Code 310, accusers can avoid penalties only if additionally, the accusations were made for the greater good. --- Basically, CJ Entus is standing by its players, at least until proven guilty. Also, we finally seem to get an answer to why suspects in Korea cannot be named -- newspapers do not want to be charged for libel in case the accusations are false or revealing names is not considered helpful to the "greater good". THE PLOT THICKENS AKA CJ Entus is continuing to lie and try to keep the bullshit knee surgery excuse alive Whether that statement is true, partially true, or completely false, you have absolutely no credibility in determining that for us. And you should take to heart the part about spreading rumors. Rumors don't help anyone.
actually, rumors start investigations.

Rumors also deviate investigations

I played Starcraft for a while, and I was very impressed with how balanced the gameplay was and how thought out the interface was. Blizzard did a great job making that game.
But it really stifles the creativity of the player by restricting actions to a very specific set of pre-programmed actions. You *must* farm for Vespene gas. you *must* collect crystals. There is little room for true creativity and adventuring. Today's FPS games are actually getting better at allowing this kind of freedom.

Oh yeah, there's a lot of shit posts there, no doubt about it. That's to be expected though. Quite a large amount of their readers are in the tech/science/programming field, not all of them are into gaming. Was merely pointing it out to show how widespread this news is getting. Whether you like the comments or not, slashdot is a big site (ever heard the term 'slashdotted' ? )

Could this be the ideal step to make the transition to SC2? I mean I won't be as interested in the proscene as I was before and be watching more sc2.

For real, this is upsetting, but lets all take a deep breath. I don't see why we gotta just assume all the guys that are mentioned are guilty. Websites tend to throw out big names to get more views.

If it's one person in the proscene that probably doesn't have any money problems at all it would be Boxer...

I can picture Savior as some mob boss telling his cronies to break a dude's legs while keeping that CJ face.

Rekrul has historically been an accurate source of information on the korean scene. He made this thread a day before the news broke on a reputable korean website.
There are also other factors that make it seem true. 1. Good players being taken off proteam roster 2. Savior's performance and buying habits 3. Sea's statement
I know your post is saying "the guys mentioned" but the few who have been mentioned fall under the points that I just stated.

Just realised that post you quoted was probably a joke. BadAnalogyGuy (the guy who posted that) always does stuff like that. Don't think he's that misguided. Guess I should have done more then skim-read.

Credibility has nothing to do with it, it's an opinion based on publicly available information.
Of course anyone can draw whatever conclusion they want from that information. But between Rekrul's posts, changed Proleague rules and team rosters, Korean netizen's comments (especially the part about having discouraged betting on certain games) the chances of Savior being innocent is practically nil. And if Savior is guilty CJ certainly knows about it, because they have the same information and more. At that point writing a threatening letter to a site that covers the issue just doesn't look good.
