Again, you're being extremely childish with this. If you wanted to help your friends improve, thats fine, but dont threaten this tournament in its early and fragile stages to achieve that. People are able to still sign up, and get slotted in when people drop out (if enough drop out) They arent, people who signed up previously but werent accepted are substituted for people who drop out.

im saying the 6 friends you chose would possibly allowed in only if people dropped out, if it was done as the rules say. adding teams isn't unfair to anyone (if it is someone say so, with an actual argument).

Votes tied 8-9 with 7 coaches that haven't responded yet

But my players are not taking anyone's spot you realize this right? and again, l10f agreed to add my team. Thus why I'm still fighting to let them play.

If there's going to be team 16, does that mean you'll also make 15 out of people on waitlist?

No, as it is, if my team gets added so does 16. if the votes go the other way, 2 teams drop so its down to 14 teams.

because 15 would be odd? im not sure its just thats the way based off reading the thread the voting is going to be.

so you're saying just because team 15 and 16 weren't originally in the rules your team can be handpicked? the other team is following the rules by having people randomly picked. don't see why you get special treatment.

Other than this argument/situation, this league is going really well. There is always lots of players in the OP CPL channel playing and talking. I can't wait for the matches to start, it should be really good.
Either way this situation pans out, can you guys please just listen to what l10f's final decision is. He has put a lot of effort into this league in only a few days, and I think he has earned the right to make the final decision on something like this.

I think it leaves a bitter taste to those on the waitlist that someone can jump the line. Mind you I realize that Storr you might not be coaching if you hadn't had your friends but that's too bad. Either way the league will be fun I just hope the decision can be made and we all get over it quickly. GG!

I don't get what's the big deal. Storrzerg wants to play with his friends. l10f would like to have 16 teams. Both parties mutually benefit.
Who cares that Storrzerg gets to handpick his team and the rest of the Coaches didn't get a chance? CPL isn't about winning or losing, coaches shouldn't care about the fact that they didn't get to draft their team. CPL is about the process that these players go through. The priority of CPL is to foster an environment so people can have fun learning sc. Storrzerg and his friends will enjoy this league more if they get to play together.
Lastly, you said it was unfair to the people on the waitlist. Well, it's too bad for them. Storrzerg's friends get to play in the CPL because they got connections. Same in real life. People get jobs through connections, not by applying at monster.com

I will join under the name [CPL]Snorllax as [CPL]snorlax was listed as already taken, as of now I'm waiting for the email to make the account

you have coaches that want to help people get better. the league is still in formative stages so might as well make it as inclusive as possible. the league already increased in size from 12-14, so if you want to be hardcore about the rules you have to get rid of teams 13 and 14. Rather than start hacking away and making the league less inclusive, get the teams to a nice round 16 and move on. In 2 months, no one is even going to care or remember.

Theres no way that a smurf team could get in and stay in. didn't storr get permission for this? so why don't you just give the team a chance? see if it works? if it doesn't... no harm no foul the team is gone.If it does... the more the merrier. But... about the comment saying people would do whatever the hell they want... what could they possibly do during the tourny? =p
How about the fact that over 200 people that signed up for the league, and a shitton of them CAME INTO the thread saying "Oh man, I wish I had gotten picked."
So now, one coach comes in with a bunch of players who don't even frequent this site and didn't sign up for the league originally, and demands a team.
l10f, I can't believe you're really considering this, especially after you saw the reaction for the initial selections of this league.
If these six players who didn't originally sign up want to be a part of the league, then put them in the waitlist, form two teams from scratch and let them test their odds.

Question: What do I do if I can't contact a coach of mine? Seems like one of my coaches can't contact him as well.
