Coach zvt b-, zvp b-, zvz c+, tvz b-, pvz b-, pvt c+, pvp c+, tvp c-, tvt c- TSLNightmarjoo http://www.iccup.com/gamingprofile/TSLNightmarjoo.html Currently generally awake from 2 am to 6 pm EST, could vary this somewhat as needed. Columbus, Ohio, United States If I had a co-coach, it would be OrderlyChaos, but he's only C- zerg. I dunno what you want for co-coaches, but I wouldn't want to work with anyone else hah. My aim is The64man. My msn is Nightmarjoo@hotmail.com, but I almost never use it, would definitely prefer aim. Can we get a more interesting mappack? Kind of tired of seeing the same maps over and over. Also, don't want to have to deal with things like shitty naturals for protoss FEing in Moon Glaive. That kind of stuff is hard enough on progamers, let alone on D+ players. And I'd say allow C- players so long as they currently have an id at C- with more losses than wins (and are not above 3500).

I really feel as far as it goes one should have people from the same timezone put together. Then one would usually have someone to practice with, and a coach to talk to about the games right after. Of course, if someone has absolutely nothing to do but sleep during the days, a change of team can be a good option. Also, to make the first match so close to christmas I dont think is a good idea. Practice matches for those who can is fine, but my guess is that many will have things to do then. I myself will travel home for christmas, hanging out with family and old friends, and while I might manage to show up, the pc and the internet connection will be highly unstable, so playing any good games at all then will be hard. Making friendly non-point tournaments for those who have a chance to play then would be a better option imo.

I think after this tuesday, we should just play a match 1 week after the drafts, just to see where everyone is at, and THEN adjust accordingly so if a team has a bunch of strong players it can be distributed equally. That way we also skip the christmas problem.

Therefore a large sample of tests is needed. I say we live with manageable gaps in skill between teams, it only adds motivation to practice if youre facing a "better" team. And in the end someone has to come out on top.

Exactly. The point is for everyone to get better either way, winning isn't the main goal - fun and improvement are what we're going for I think.

I think a match that doesn't count on the 2nd and 3rd week, then league starting from the 4th is a good idea.

Sarens and I will be coaching a team together, please put us together as coach and co coach.

I'd really like to sign up for this but my availability is so like, so weird because of where i work nothing is really set for schedule T_T. If it would be possible for me to participate when i can i'd sign up for it.

If we do happen to have a huge coach-trainee imbalance, we'll be giving preference to the lower ranked players when the time for player distribution begins.
Yes, we can have friendly games before the official stuff begins to determine which teams are the strongest, however, I believe all the teams will be evenly balanced as - like we previously mentioned - we'll be using the BO5 proleague style for the team matches, which means no player in a team may play twice in the same team match unless this gets to the point of having to play an ace match.
Coaches cannot play ace matches! (unless you guys want to implement this )
Right now I hear we have a 1:10 coach-pupil ratio, and looking at the votes, we'll be allowing only 6 players to a coach >.<, we need more coaches! gogo

I totally agree that lower rank should get preference.

I think middle ranks should get preference. (High D- to low D+)

And most of them want to pair up. So far we have 8 pairs of coaches signed up (16 total). 12 pairs would be nice to have

I'm just really hoping this takes off the ground. Right now I'm loosing on US West and for me just reading liquipedia isn't enough. And after this coming week finals are over so I can start to really mass game.

Are the coaches all being paired up now, or is it still an option to coach alone?
