I'm not in a good mood, so I'm going to tell you as it is. You are a spoiled kid who is choosing an imaginary record on an internet computer game over the responsibility you have to your parents. If I were your dad, I would kick your ass out of my house the moment you turned 18 for disrespect like that. But I'm not your dad, so I'm telling you how I see it.

Parents abusing their power? I mean, they fed you, raised you, gave you all your stuff, put food on your table and you think they're abusing their "power" by making you clean your room ? They don't do all that stuff because they were "empowered", but because they love you.
Coming home exhausted after work, having some housework to do in some cases and then having to deal with children not listening to you doesn't really improve one's patience. You can either deal with it or move out in a place of your own.

He's not being disrespectful, he's frustrated... And he has every right in the world to be frustrated, who are you people that think you can decide what his values and priorities should be?
The whole they fed, shelter, and ect you is a fine argument and all but as such they should also be willing to understand what he cares about and just be understanding in general. Many parents take a much more forceful nazi approach to raising their children, especially in religious circles. There is a fine argument that many parents do more damage than good in many respects and I am all for young adults fighting for their freedoms from oppressive dictator parents. (Not that this is really relevant to the OP, more from personal experience i suppose)

Personally, I was born into an Asian household and I have always been used to the fact my parents have pure supremacy no matter how wrong or irrational it may seem at the time. A postulate was engrained into my mind that basically states they are right, whatever they want is for our own good or success, and going against it results in a solid hour or more of lectures and yelling. The thing is, I was soon okay with it.

Learn to quit. If you're in the middle of an epic game and your parents want you to do something (eat/chore) just quit and do it or explain to them that you will do it right after this game ends. The worst thing you can do is to lie to them.
