When you have a kid, you know you're going to have to pay for it's food/education/etc etc... Talking like that's such a huge favour is like getting a puppy and expected it to be your slave just because you pay for its life. You have sex and have a kid, you're not doing anyone any favours but yourself, because you wanted your genetics to go on. IMO a kid doesn't owe his parents anything. It's both natural law (instinct) and state law (criminal) that you have to raise your kid. It's no excuse for any kind of abuse just cause you came home from a hard day at work or whatever. Good parents treat their kids with respect and get respect back from them. Bad parents yell at their kids and wonder why they don't give a fuck. Respect and be nice to your parents if you're a kid, but if you're a parent don't think it's some grand excuse to do anything you want just cause you pay for someone's life. No one ever asked to be born, much less begged. | ||
