An enticing title to get you all to view this blog
I'm actually posting this to promote my team's website that I've just got done working on (team payback). It runs a CMS called Webspell and might not be as cool as SK-Gaming or fnatic's sites, but for a young organisation like us, it's one hell of a site I used a base template found online and photoshopped a couple of things to get the right sections we wanted featured. I should also keep adding more features soon (latest articles block, video player) as well as polish the content layout for various sections and the articles, so stay tuned for changes to come! Eventually the site will feature the latest news from the eSports scene in the games we take part in, team-related news as well as interviews, vod's, demos/replays and much more esport-related content.
The site (temporary URL until we get our domain): http://fcnz.quantum-host.com/gopayback/
If you liked the site and feel like doing me/us a favor, you can register an account and start posting on our forums!
Hope you like the site and decide to register! Much <3 for TL
EDIT: By the way, I see some of you guys checking the page, leave comments and feedback here, I'd love to be able to improve our page some more

On a second note, we will soon be looking into multigaming, once we have a strong management team to help us build the organisation and brand. Originally payback is a team by players, for players, with no outside ownership. The team's "leader" is the CS 1.6 lineup leader, synistral. The reason I mention this is because I would be very happy with the idea of picking up a SC:BW squad and thought I'd leave this out here for those of you who might be looking for a home (players or a full roster) If you need any info, send me a PM here or on payback's site or hit me up on IRC in #payback @ irc.gamesurge.net (name: payback|fcnz)

I don't know TL's policy towards site-promoting
If you liked the site and feel like doing me/us a favor, you could click the google ads on the site
especially when laced with a comment like that
but good luck with your site

Any comments towards the site itself? I know some of you guys are checking it out lol

GASP double posting on ur own blog? wat is that?
gl w/ ur site though

Looks fairly professional. Good job, i'd say.

Looks fine but, seriously, domain + hosting is peanuts, especially for a small site being as you don't have a lot of traffic.
I don't like templates though, just shows 0 effort and if you see the same template on another site it's just :|

I'm not an expert but i'll try to describe what problems i see as a user.
Browsing is pretty annoying because you have click and then select sub-menu. I'd either activate sub-menu on mouse over or even better - make all the menu/sub-menus visible so users can find their link faster without moving through all of them. Since you have many submenus - you might want to move whole menu stuff to the left side of the site.
Also there's a lot of useless information like statistics, random users, article ratings etc. which is will rarely be used. Some of it should be completely removed, other should be grouped together into one site stats page.
Overall it's pretty decent design but you have to remember that designs job is just to present content in comfortable fashion. The main thing that makes websites successful is content. So you'll need far more content than just some info about your team or old reposted news to even start attracting people. Good luck!

I can see the jpeg compression artifacts on the headings. It's better practise to use png. You'll get smaller file size and higher quality.
Look's alright, Sorta pre-made looking. But that's templates for ya.

You can also register an account and start posting on our forums! You know that is enough proof to get your AdSense account banned.. not saying I will, but anyone can easily report you right now. And although this post isn't on your actual site, it will flag it and Google will look at your logs for fraudulent clicks.
