Those are some high resolution photos
they look nice too!

I would suggest trying to bring out the colors more when post-processing to make them look more interesting.
Also, on bird shots, they tend to be a bit boring unless you have a $1200 telescopic lens to compact the composition. Too much negative space. ):
Your second bird shot is actually really good, though. The bokeh came out very well, but it looks like your focus was a tiiiny bit off, and, like I said, you should try to make the colors a bit more vibrant.

I can't wait to go on a journey in your backyard. Wait, no. Something sounds wrong with that.

I love the feel of the later shots - they're very serene. The removal of the bumhole is pretty funny, but a somewhat wise editing decision ^_~

Neat, as was before! Thanks for sharing. =)

In bringing out the colors more, learn how to adjust the levels and curves in photoshop, or whatever other program you use. Using the other ones, color balance, saturation and whatnot actually only layers a filter over the actual image. To really get in and give a more natural looking change to the image, it's best to work with the curves and levels.
Aside from that, you have a decent eye for composition. Just work on that as you take more photos, and try to learn how to use lighting advantageously in your photos. If you can master that last one, anything you take a shot of will look good.
I've been shooting "seriously" for around 3-4 years now, and I underestimated the importance of lighting for the first year or so, as I taught myself. I'm still trying to work out bad habits and whatnot when I shoot now. Developing an eye for composition is easy enough, and you end up becoming too conscious of that and ignore other aspects too much. ):

ah yeah, i've used the curves before. i'm not actually sure how to use that tool, usually i just fuck around with it until something will look good. so any tips on how to actually use it properly would be nice, and some other tips on lighting would be nice as well :p
