For the sake of learning, I would like some help as how I won this game. I was literally very shocked when he moved out yet I survived taking little damage. For a 4 fac push, do you want to \"hard push\" or \"soft push\" so you can get to the base quicker before any reinforcements come? Somehow I don\'t think this guy used a 4 fac push correctly and he should have taken a third much earlier.

Also for self improvement, I really really really need to practice using arbiters, making arbiters, and using stasis because that really is preventing me from being able to play at higher levels of PvT

Also a further side note, could someone help me forward my router? My dad got a new one and I can't host/obs games on starcraft because my ports won't forward.

http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/WRT310N/Starcraft.htm I followed those directions, I have a WRT310N linkys router and I have tried turning my firewall on and off to see if that interfered with the ports. I need help! Otherwise I think I'll kill myself from lack of starcraft

Eh I don't really see the point in trying to learn what you did right, because clearly you already know it and it worked -.- Better off to spend that time learning what you did wrong in games you lost.

It's so something like this doesn't happen by chance again and I know the reason I won. I was 100% sure I was going to lose too

I disagree with the notion of not reviewing replays you won, and I hear it repeated here quite often (so not just you personally). I think there's a great benefit from reviewing both. With the wins, see what you did that changed the tide or what you did to gain an advantage. Maybe you'll notice some weaknesses in your average opponents against certain types of play. And even if you won, you can still find some things you did wrong or could have done better.

4 fac pushes are designed to kill fast thirds... but when he moved out, he seiged up instead of hitting you. I can't tell if he scanned your third or not but assuming he knew you had a third, probably would have chosen 4 or 5 fact. I was surprised by how few units he had after you killed his first move. I think you won priamrily because you just out macroed him. Though he did do a lot of damage early with vultures...do you have the replay? How was his macro?

From the FPVOD it's also kind of hard to know exactly how many facts he did, especially because you can't see when he took HIS third.

I just started learning pvt with arbiters these last two weeks so I'm kind of in the same boat as you. From the little experience I have:
using arbiters: stasis to stop his first push, freeze the tanks in the back
making arbiters: you seem to know how to do this =P
recall: use the obs that you sneak in early game, the one by the factories, and see if. Try to recall over the armories. Killing depots and ccs of course. I don't know about factories; I always feel that it takes too long to kill a factory, but I guess if you can snipe the tanks that spawn to keep his tank count low. In general at my level, I use recall to keep T off balance, not really to do substantial damage, though if T doesn't react / clean up the recall, you can destroy a lot of infrastructure.

I haven't played a good pvt on destination yet, but for 4 player maps, having stargates at two different mains helps immensely because you can recall on pretty much every terran base. (Flanking attacks from your rallies also helps a lot, on say python).

there is no such thing as a 4 fac push. Its 5 fac or more. 4 fac pushes should never kill you and are designed for double expo builds.

To the OP, work on not doing useless clicks on your gateways and probes at your expos, you click on THE DUMBEST SHIT like fifty times for no reason. Make all your units at the same time too, never have them staggered.

4 fac pushes can work in the right situations
hell 2 fac pushes can work in the right situations
if your opponent double expos or techs fast enough then waiting for too many facs will kill your timing.

I understand this, but I would say waiting for the 5th and/or 6th fac is better in general. 4 fac is just an accelerated 5 fac push that relies on a small window, it it doesnt work you are kinda dead but you can win with it too. 5 fac is a smoother transition to mid game.
