A friend's birthday is coming and I'd love to play a really strange and weird prank on him. Not the funny kind, more like in the movie "The Game" with Michael Douglas (if I remember correctly, I saw it very many years ago). The problem is that I don't have any specific idea right now, just the general feeling of what I'm looking for.
So here are some ideas I've brainstormed that are too far-fetched to pull off or not good enough but that will hopefully give you an idea of what I'm after:
- walking into his home to find everything is upside down, everything that's supposed to be on the floor is on the ceiling and vice-versa
- walking out of the house to see everyone frozen in the streets or the whole street empty
- ordering a pizza and getting a pizza box full of earth/dirt, yet everyone around him happily taking their share, putting on ketchup, etc
He's a huge David Lynch fan, so something that rings true to surrealists I think would work fine. So far all I've come up with is that I want it to be convincing enough for him to contemplate, if only for a second, that he's losing his mind.
Please help me find something that's actually doable and doesn't require I hire 50 actors and clear out a whole block. Thanks!

i was expecting this to be a thread about the office prank that jims brothers played on him
was so awkward and totally unfunny
all your ideas are interesting but probably hard to pull off
especially the upside down thing
thats hilarious but wouldnt be worth the effort

You could just get him high on pcp, it would be 100x easier from what you suggested

The flipping everything upside down plan is amazing! It would be very difficult to implement but it would be priceless humour ^^

lol either that or some acid might do the trick...how about spiking him with LSD AND turning all his shit upside down.
Edit:This reminds me of someone's halloween (I think) prank thread recently where he was planning to bury himself in the dirt and jump out on some friends. I wonder how that went.

Use a mold to make a giant chocolate insect, and plant it inside a birthday cake. When you guys are cutting it up and find the chocolate bug, reach in, grab it, and take a big bite out of it before he has time to see exactly what it is.

you could pour that stuff that makes you crap into his mountain dew. but then youd have to wry about his friends accidently drinking it cuz he makes a toast and shares the dew with every1. wait havent i heard this before?

you could try covering everything in his room with aluminium foil
alternatively, you could make a "soda drinking contest" - e.g. 3 participants would drink a litre of soda
the prank is, that his soda would be vodka
