Computer Stomping Contest

Ok I'm bored so I decided to make a contest where you will have to beat the computer so bad, that it would quit starcraft, the game will uninstall itself automatically, your SC CDs in your closet will break themselves and iccup will get hacked by a random stupid bot called Epsilon Squadron (Bnet included).

You can choose whichever MU you like, as well as the map.

Your goals are:
- Anihilate the computer in the most creative way you can think of.

Rules are:
- No peon luring.
- Only 1 computer.
- No cheat codes.
- Fastest speed.
- 3 reps per person.
- No UMS

Best rapes will be chosen by popular opinion and the final, best rape will get picked by a poll vote. You guys have 1 week! Now go and have fun!

Days Remaining: 0

I thought replays with Computer players always messed up because their actions weren't recorded and so the Computer just played a different game each time?

No

The computer will play the same game everytime as replays record the exact position at which time, of each unit/building/critters in the game.

In other words; they don't mess up.

Lol when I first read it I thought you meant to video yourself literally beating up an actual computer into tiny little pieces.

Is there a prize! I might try something creative if there's an incentive.

Didn't Leg say that the pros used to try and kill off terran comps in the fastest time with just 1 probe? If anyone can do that one, I would be interested in seeing it.

yeah, but to avoid flooding, let's just keep it to, say, 3 reps?

edit: well yeah xD, but remember that comps do have actions too ^^

Yeah, but if the actions of the computer can be determined by a computer (no matter how random its supposed to be) if you store the random seed, you can replicate the random behavior. For example, everytime i build my game, I have a character that will run either right or left. I had a seed of "1", and everytime i ran my game, it ran to the left. When the seed is changed to the date/time/milisec, then thats random.. so in other words, the replay somehow stores the seed.

Back to topic, this sounds like an interesting contest.. though i would have to think about something clever before i play the pc .... hmm....

I remember there being a big thread about this, they played on challenger.

I believe it used to do this, but they patched it in something like...1.09, or 1.10; not sure, you would hafta go back and check the changelog.

doesnt the computer just run an algorithm
and arent random choices usually based on (game)time, which would be the same when running a replay
