Computer Stomping Contest

Ok I'm bored so I decided to make a contest where you will have to beat the computer so bad, that it would quit starcraft, the game will uninstall itself automatically, your SC CDs in your closet will break themselves and iccup will get hacked by a random stupid bot called Epsilon Squadron (Bnet included).

You can choose whichever MU you like, as well as the map.

Your goals are:
- Anihilate the computer in the most creative way you can think of.

Rules are:
- No peon luring.
- Only 1 computer.
- No cheat codes.
- Fastest speed.
- 3 reps per person.
- No UMS

Best rapes will be chosen by popular opinion and the final, best rape will get picked by a poll vote. You guys have 1 week! Now go and have fun!

Days Remaining: 0

I thought replays with Computer players always messed up because their actions weren't recorded and so the Computer just played a different game each time?

No

The computer will play the same game everytime as replays record the exact position at which time, of each unit/building/critters in the game.

In other words; they don't mess up.

Lol when I first read it I thought you meant to video yourself literally beating up an actual computer into tiny little pieces.

Is there a prize! I might try something creative if there's an incentive.

Didn't Leg say that the pros used to try and kill off terran comps in the fastest time with just 1 probe? If anyone can do that one, I would be interested in seeing it.

yeah, but to avoid flooding, let's just keep it to, say, 3 reps?

edit: well yeah xD, but remember that comps do have actions too ^^

Yeah, but if the actions of the computer can be determined by a computer (no matter how random its supposed to be) if you store the random seed, you can replicate the random behavior. For example, everytime i build my game, I have a character that will run either right or left. I had a seed of "1", and everytime i ran my game, it ran to the left. When the seed is changed to the date/time/milisec, then thats random.. so in other words, the replay somehow stores the seed.

Back to topic, this sounds like an interesting contest.. though i would have to think about something clever before i play the pc .... hmm....

doesnt the computer just run an algorithm
and arent random choices usually based on (game)time, which would be the same when running a replay

It really depends on how its programmed. The random seed could be the time running the replay, as well as it could be the date of the replay or a simple flag stored on the replay. It does run an algorithm which basically acts the same way based on this random seed

The computer doesnt do random actions, if you go many many tanks, the computer will mass mutas, and if you go lots of air, it will mass scourge, try it.

I'm coming with a rep soon.

Ah, that might be it. Last time I actually seriously played the game was between 1.08 and 1.10, so that's probably what I remembered.

That being said, I can't wait to do this :D

It probably would have been a lot cooler (and more successful) if I actually used hotkeys and had better APM at the end there, but it worked and you get the idea.

All of the last few replays I've downloaded from the internet to watch have all messed up. I think the actions get screwed up. For example, Chill's replay is ~18 minutes long and the protoss comp dies at 10 minutes. All of my autoreplay replays work fine though.

Sorry for being a bit off-topic but this is super irritating.

Ya. This is my first attempt at it and I succeeded. Poor sunken placement slowed my defilers .

I dunno if using Spores / Drones is Kosher but I got tired of losing 24 Queens to Valkyrie after awhile.

How is that raping the computer?!?!?!?!?!?!?11? You get to use units that do 40 damage each, and then you get to combine them to make a super unit. If Starcraft was balanced, Bisu would be doing this.

If anyone can come up with a faster way of crushing the silicon aspirations, I'd like to hear about it. As it stands now, the hatchery explodes at exactly 3:00; I refrain from targeting the hatch manually, as that would be unsportsmanlike.
The 3rd drone that went out was to block the computer's 12 hatch, which oddly enough didn't come at all.

Unfortunately that ghost submission is invalid because it's only 3 each .

And the OP is doing a half assed job of keeping this up to date.

Hey, I was playing it on single player so a few times I pressed "s" by accident and it slowed the game (at the beginning... I corrected immediate after). Do I have to re-do it? ):

I am still going to submit more though so... Just let me know n_n

I think this is viable for someone with pro micro and multi task...
