as an RA myself, i know your RA doesn't have the power to change your room or kick him out. what will probably happen is that you guys will have to sort it out on your own, with the discussion possibly being facilitated by the RA.
if you decide that you don't want to do that, you can go request a room change--most likely with housing services.
but really? move out without even discussing it with him? at least address your concerns before you run away from the problem.
you'd be surprised at how oblivious some people are with the actions they do. they have no clue about how others feel about it.
|
quit cockblocking your roommate, you should be proud of him for going twice
|
when it seems to be finishing up say something like " i've got such a boner right now" really loud and creepy
|
The situation sounds absurd. You are making it up. No one would do that. Seems like the best thing to do is to interrupt them and tell them that you are trying to sleep. If that doesn't work, you just need to retaliate. Make him want to change rooms.
|
My roommate did that to me in freshman year and the next morning I told him that he couldn't bring her to our room and if he wanted to fuck he needed to get the hell out. After that my room was basically a single because he just went to her place 24/7. Win/win.
Request it nicely. If he is not receptive, then be a dick to him. Over the 3 years I've been at college I've become a lot more willing to be vocal about complaints because usually if you don't do anything....then don't expect anything to get done. Passive aggressive shit is stupid.

Yea I'm sure he's jealous of his roommate getting ass from some bitch while he's trying to sleep.
why can't someone make a thread like this without people saying it's fake or he's jealous
have you ever fuckin been to college? it's not fake at all, asshole roommates do it all the time
there's nothing wrong with wanting some ugly clown to screw his girl somewhere other than where you're trying to sleep, especially with morning classes or a test the next day
|
wank while theyre doing it.
or do it yourself (have sex with a girl every night /+ day)

College is about sacrifice. Man up and deal with it. There is a huge difference then having class in the morning and a test.

That is kind of trashy to fuck in the same room as someone else.... twice. But I wouldn't go to the RA about it without talking to him first.

Punch him in the cock REALLY hard while he's sleeping. He wont be annoying you for awhile at the very least

Ear muffs and eye blinds...
There is always this loud neighbour, windows close to the street, a pub dowstairs or air traffic. I don't see this being any different (Provided you get laid yourself regularly. Tripods have problems sleeping on a horizontal bed.)

Just tell him the nights you don't want him doing it, and be clear that you're serious. Yeah, it's uncomfortable but shit's going to happen. And it's ok to be a bit pissed about it. I don't know anyone that doesn't get pissed when they're kept up while trying to sleep, but you should definitely let it go in the morning.

I think I'd kill myself if I was a roomate of most people here. YOu guys are such pansies.
I can't decide what's worse... your inability to suck it up and crash on the couch once (im sure if you figured out how to use your dick, your roommate would do the same) or the fact that you're going to talk to your fucking RA before him.
I hope when you finally pop your cherry as a 20 year old, you get syphalis

This would actually be funny as hell, and will give a perceptive on your situation. But otherwise I'll seriously think about talking to him first, then the RA.

Holy. Fuck. You nerds know no end.
This is the rule. If someone brings a girl home to fuck, you make like a tree and get the hell out. Period. If it's his girlfriend then this rule doesn't apply, but some new girl, you don't ask questions. You fuck off to the common room and sleep there.
Boo hoo 8:30 class. So skip class. It's not a big deal.

Did you have an exam the next day or are you just a lame person?
|
I'd kill myself for entire different reasons If I was the room mate of you guys lol. I mean THE FUCK I would put up with that from anyone that's not a close friend. What kind of weird social rules do you guys live by? Then again I don't see the reason for putting two people in one room =P How expensive can a thin wall be? That said, you should probably talk to him first, going over his head is really rude.
|
i've been voluntarily sexiled once, when my ex-roommate brought his gf for the night. i was cool about it, except this one time.
one day during the final exam week, i had my final early in the morning, and i literally had to wake up at like 7:30am in the morning and catch a bus to the testing place. so, here i am sleeping and idk what time exactly it was, but between 5 and 6am, my ex-roommie brings a girl over. it's not his gf. they have broken up not too long ago. okay, i'm a pretty light sleeper, especially when i have an exam on the next day. i'm trying to sleep, and i hear, i guess, him fingering her? cause all i heard was her moaning. i figured they'd stop pretty soon. soon, they whispered then he started fucking her. i didn't see shit since i was facing the wall, but i could hear his mattress moving up and down. as soon as i hear this, "(name), are you fucking kidding me? maaad disrespectful." i'm still facing the wall when i tell him this. he obviously stops right away, and apologizes to me immediately, and tells the girl, "i told you we couldn't do it here." and blames the girl for it. she couldn't say shit. she absolutely said nothing. they dressed up quickly and left. he gave a her the ride home, and then he came back and apologized again.
your roommate should always give u heads up, if hes bringing over a girl for the night, because you would have to find a place to stay for the night. your roommate should never fuck or do any shit there private, when ur there, cause it's really WTF.
if he does it often, then obviously talk to him. it really depends how close u are to ur roommate. if he's just ur roommate or more than a roommate and a new friend, tell him whats up. he'll understand. he's old enough that he entered the college and whatnot. he'll have a decency to listen to you.
|
Wow, sex twice? Maybe they were taking a break, haha.
Edit: Ok, yeah maybe you should just leave the room or something, make a rule with your roommate about when you bring girls over, that you leave the room and sleep somewhere else.

One of the reasons why I'm glad I don't have a roommate and never have had one o_O

yup they quit. shit didn't even last 10 seconds. she was a slut, so i don't give a shit lol. he apologized to me several times that day. really a nice guy, tbh. we had so much in common and had a lotta fun. damn i miss the last year.
we applied to be roommates again in an apartment, but we couldn't, because the school was very limited in terms of apartments.

I agree completely. The only thing disrespectful here is you going to the RA over his head because he has something worthwhile to do with his time instead of fucking studying. Seriously, would it kill you to lose some sleep and go to class a bit tired? Would this lower you knowledge-intake capablities? Would the League of Extraordinary Losers degrade you to just a normal Lieutenant of Lameness instead of your exalted position as General-Major of Masturbation?

lol the replies in this thread are so extreme. You don't need to go telling your RA, but "being a man" isnt synonymous with letting your roommate fuck so you can lose sleep, since these guys aren't even friends. Just confront him and tell him to do it elsewhere. Easy.
|
I had a friend who was in the same situation. He talked to his room-mate about it(because his room-mate would bring his girlfriend over every night and they'd fuck for a good while) and decided that, since the walls were so paper thin, certain days he'd be able to fuck and certain days he had to leave somewhere to go fuck. My friend thought his room-mate would have enough respect to not fuck in the apartment(because that's what my friend was doing, not fucking in the apartment) but he was wrong. He talked to him about it one day and said "What if I bring my girl to the apartment one day and you're trying to get some sleep/work done? Do you want to be constantly hearing the headboard against the wall while you try typing out your research paper?"
Just talk to him about it.

what chill+hawk said, and if all else fails, just start making loud moaning noises, "ohhhhhh OHHHHH OHHHHHH OHHHH" and they'll probably stop and take it to her room.

Not as bad as if your roommate doesn't wash the dishes. At least you'd rage every day about that.
|
What sort of skank is this guy banging? She doesnt mind someone else in the room while they fuck? Which leads me to my next question, he doesnt mind either? This situation seems really strange. You shouldnt taddle on him like a little girlie 4 year old would. Just talk to him, and if he does it again make the situation so uncomfortable that they would stop. do something along the lines of "oh yeah, fuck her harder, HARDER. oh yes, Im about to climax." shit like. They will feel to uncomfortalbe to fuck.
|
you've misused the word literal and thus i can no longer take this blog seriously. good day.

Talk to him about it. Just tell him that you dont want anything going on in your room before you go to sleep and if he does it again, talk to housing about it and move. There is no need for you to put up with something that is distracting you from your education.
|
Next time try to join in so you can guys can have a threesome. When he or she freaks out, just look blankly at them and be like, "Wow, I figured since you were going to have sex right in front of me you were inviting me to join!?"
|
IMO, it's completely disrespectful for him to do something like that, but you should at least speak to him before going to the RA.

When he brings the chick back are you already sleeping? If not let them know you have class in the morning and don't want to hear them fucking all night. If they agree and then come 11pm or w/e she's still there bring it up again, tell them you're not trying to be a dick but wtf? Tell them they can fuck all they want on the weekend. End of story.
|
Telling on someone is something losers did in elementary school. If by college you are still going to tell on someone, I suggest you go shoot yourself.
|
ROFL kinda funny. lol I am shy personally so I wouldn't be having sex around other people but damn that is hardcore lol. Idk I would talk to him first. If that fails changing rooms would definetly become a priority for me. It is kind of rude but maybe he thinks there is nothing wrong with it.
|
I voted other. The answer being : threesome if the chick is hot, or get laid too when they are doing it. Oh, and outfuck (neologism FTW) your room mate. He does it twice? Bang your g/f 3 times! You will sleep like a baby afterwards. If you can't get laid, then you will have to learn to sleep with earplugs. Anyway, going to see the RA is the worst possible thing. You will look like a cry baby and many will make fun of you for NOT getting laid and so on...

I don't think it's proper for one person to disturb his roommates sleep.
It's like having a party, if your friends get too loud, of course the neighbors will call the cops who then tell you to be quiet.
Therefore, you should tell the RA because it's your right to have a good night's rest.

Basic decency is that he cares about my sleep schedule and doesn't ruin my day. It's not like I'm always in the fucking room and they can't have sex another time...(yes I've been in the very same situation). Holy fuck waking up in the middle of the night hearing the girl whispering "Won't your roommate be pissed?" "Ssh, don't care about him, he's sleeping" now holy fuck, stop telling me about decency. If I brought a girl to the room I warned my roommates beforehand, so they could organize something for the night while I take my time. Or should they just say "I'm sorry, I actually want to attend the morning class this time" then fuck, I was okay with that and tried to organize the intercourse another way. That's decency for me, I guess people are different...

Like: How self-centered can he be thinking about sex only and not minding other people? Just try to have sex when it doesn't bother anyone and let your roommate sleep, it's how normal human relations work! if its his girlfriend coming over every few days its completely different. but if its some hot girl that hes bringing home and has an opportunity to have a great time, there are just certain events in your friend/roommate's life that you can probably be a bit inconvenienced.
if he was bringing home girls every night and keeping you up then again, it'd be different. but this was the first time (according to the OP). we've all missed class in college and we've all stayed up late and not gotten sleep. one night of sleep is NOT a big deal.
i don't know if you're some huge pimp where sex with a new girl you find attractive is just an everyday occurrence, but i'd say its a special enough circumstance to suck it up and suffer one night for your roommate's sake. it's definitely not the same thing when you turn it around. sex with a hot girl, when your roommate is inconveniencing you for the first time, is NOT on the same level as one night of sleep.
maybe you don't feel sex is that special, because you have it all the time or you have it not at all. whatever. lets say its the OSL finals, and its Boxer and Yellow, and your roommate wants to watch it in your room but you want to sleep. it's an important and rare enough event to suck it up and let him have his one night.
how selfish is it to make him give up something that will obviously give him a lot of happiness for something that is a mere inconvenience to you (some lost sleep / discomfort) for one night for the first time?
man a lot of you would make really anal, uptight, horrible roommates / friends... hey one night of my roommate getting laid, lets report him and get him kicked out of the dorm. what the fuck, that's the most uptight nerdy passive aggressive response ever. at least talk to the guy.
|
poll adds up to 99% and op why so serious if he wants sex let him have sex, im sure he wont have any problems with u brining a girl home
|
Both people involved just need to be considerate, it's not that hard.
The person that's bringing back the girl should do what he can to give his roommate some fair warning if possible and if it becomes a frequent thing he should look into finding options other than sexiling his roommate all the time.
The person trying to sleep should cut the guy some slack if it's the first time and certainly should talk to the guy before even thinking about going to an RA. Just ask the guy to give some warning and if this is going to be a regular thing (bring back girls all the time) that he find some other place to do it.
|

Provided your awake when the roommate gets back, or wake up before said event happens, waking up to them having sex is bm, as at that point they should have been nice enough to keep it down
|
I agree with most people in this thread who say that this guy is over-reacting, but this bro rule bullshit is annoying. I don't care if they are both men, he doesn't owe this guy anything. He doesn't need to drag his ass to the couch because his roommate wants to tag a drunk bitch, if he did i'd call it a favour. If he doesn't want to do said favour, that's his choice.

That's kind of what I'm getting from a lot of the posts here. Good roommate relations > random drunken bar sex

and of course it's not just "bro rule" to leave, and that you would owe your roommate, it's just assumed he doesn't make a big fucking deal wah wah wah you had sex with a girl when i had class tomorrow boohoo, and it can be expected that you would pay him back, probably by following a bro rule when his turn comes up for some sexxx

It's like having a party, if your friends get too loud, of course the neighbors will call the cops who then tell you to be quiet.
Therefore, you should tell the RA because it's your right to have a good night's rest. can't stop laughing the odds of you ever having sex are probably as high as you resolving a conflict directly, better go tell on him wahhh wahh
Maybe you'd laugh harder if your roommate did the same.
Sure, the chance of "your roommate having sex (not "you having sex" since we're not talking about the OP but his roommate here)" might be small, but the OP said his roommate might do it again. Therefore, doing nothing about it will only make his roommate think this kind of behavior is okay. Now the guy will probably have sex more often and the OP gets less sleep. This, in turn, could affect his performances in class because so many aspects of a human brain suffer due to lack of proper rest.
Maybe that is funny to you?

i mean reading through these posts, its like you guys have never been inconvenienced or sacrificed something to help out another person or friend before. talk about being self-centered and self absorbed. heaven forbid a few hours of discomfort! he woke you up!??! how DARE he!? big fucking deal. get over it and move on. if you're getting pissed at shit like this what are you going to do when the world throws real challenges and true injustice at you?

Fight fire with fire. Its your turn to get laid. Bring someone back and you have sex with her when your roommate is like studying.
On a more serious note, I've lived in the dorms for 2 years. I personally got to know people in my dorms and let everyone know that if some1 has sex and nothing is going on in my room to sleep in my room and suggested the floor do the same. Have like an alarm clock on your cell and use that to wake you.

On October 04 2008 15:11 Chill wrote: lol you bring a girl back from the bar. what fair warning are you supposed to give? in fact, id add there should be no fair warning. if i show up in our room with a girl, you drag your ass to the couch no questions asked, because thats how men roll. I said "if possible". If it's not possible, then it can't be helped.
Also, things change depending on the situation at hand. For example:
1) It's the first time the guy has brought back a girl, you're friends with the guy, etc. Sure, I'd get out of there and give the guy the room. Probably give him that "high five" you mentioned the following morning provided she wasn't ugly as fuck. And he didn't fuck on any of my stuff, that's BM.
2) The guy is some random guy that you haven't gotten to know yet, I feel like he should have some decency not to try to fuck some girl while some guy he's just met is a few feet from you trying to sleep. That's just weird to me, perhaps not to you. I'd probably still get out anyway.
3) The guy brings back different girls every other night. If that happens, fuck that. One night of rest I can give up now and then. If this becomes a regular thing, he should have the decency to find some place else or something.
Other factors come into play obviously, like if you've got an exam the next day. You don't fuck over your roommate by waking him him at 4am because you couldn't control your dick. Of course, there are always exceptions. Like if it's a friend of yours that you'd never expect to get any ass in his life and he brings back some really hot girl. Unless it's a really important exam, I'll cut him some slack as that is something he'll probably thank me for for the rest of his life.
The bottom line is that both sides should be understanding and communication is key whenever possible. These weird "bro" rules seem to put pussy on a pedestal and always hos before bros, which I don't agree should always be the case. Sex is great, no argument there. But it's not the end all be all of your existence. That's only the case for virgins still fantasizing about having it one day.

Actually dorms have rules. If people don't obey them, they deserve punishment. And I honestly don't think anyone would support roommates being noisy when it's time for sleep. Maybe when it's 9:00 PM, when most should not be sleeping yet, his roommate can be a little noisy; clear not case here. Honestly if you think people will just put up with everything they endure, their lives will be better, or the world in that matter? If injustice isn't thwarted in any way, it will continue. It's a simple concept, if no one shows any disapproval of your behavior, you'll think it's okay and therefore feel free to repeat the same behavior later. And I didn't tell him to kick out roommate out, don't put words in my mouth please. Maybe a warning or such could at least stop this.
Yes, it is funny to see injustice happening over and over when it should and could be stopped.

This happened to me all the time freshman year, only my roommate was worse because he was an all around dick in every aspect of the rest of our time rooming as well.
He'd blast his shitty ass country music and rap all fuckin day every day at high volume. I literally wanted to kill him by the end of the year, tho I pulled some nasty pranks on him that he probably doesn't even realize.

HB the wise. If you want to be a social outcast because you only think of yourself then live with your mother. It's not as if you have to give up a lot to sleep on a couch one night. Trick is to make sure he appreciates it and pays you back.

Underestimating the importance of sex? It isn't really that important. It's a want, not a necessity. Iunno maybe it's just nicer to have for college kids who are stressed from school work.
Sleep is a necessity. Lack of sleep can fuck up your entire day or week. Lack of sex won't because you can still blow your load.
