As for my last blog entry I have played "few" matches more but more like no advance on rank . http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?id=72868
I don't get why I been sucking this much lately, I have been three times D+ so far but always drop down to D (I only play D if I am D and D+ if D+ etc).
Points 1643 Statistics 47 - 93 - 0 Match List 140
Perhaps I lost my confidence as people seems to reset their stats much more often now that stats been hidden or just multiple account using. I have been facing a lot of X-0 players or just much better players than me (usually I do check after end of game session who I played vs and over half their stats say they are around C or better) and my playstyle is now changing to more cheesier rather than normal macro gamestyle.
If I win game I just dominate that game easily, I just want some fair games sometimes.
What comes to matchups here are stats.
Zerg 46-93 | 33% | 139 games (one game bugged @ game list) vZ 4-18 (18%) vP 23-36 (39%) vT 18-39 (32%)
So whats your tips to improve after huge loss streak like I have right now considering I face a lot people which are not suppose to be my rank at all?
edit: New trend to for better players to get matches is to play one game vs player they know (to get rid of 1000 point marker) and hunt those D players because now they have stats like 950 points (they can "pretend" been crappy player). Sometimes they do even get D- for this, weird these smurfers. Point is to get so called point barriers broken (for example 1000, 1130, 1260 etc or 1100, 1200) so that it doesn't indicate they are "good" players.
I urge Iccup to change system to this. Allow people to have 2-4 accounts (if they have siblings to play) per ip. Don't allow clearingstats (who needs that if you can't even see that). Allow renaming account (by keeping your ID same). Removing transfer points etc.
from edit to end my whining, do not take too serious

Dont give up just keep playing, review your replays to see what your doing wrong, make sure you have your builds down, and dont get frusterated.

Stop worrying about it and just have fun and try your best every game. You think too much about stats and not enough about the game. If you spent all the time you've been using on justifying your losses on watching your replays and making goals instead, you'd probably feel like you're improving.
My advice to you is to watch your replays, and find something you do wrong, that you know how to fix. Fix it next game, and call it a victory if you do. Don't worry so much about losing right now, and worry more about improving your game. Stats aren't going to mean anything against the large variety of opponents you have to face, at your level.

I don't really think that much my stats because I would have made new account or just cleared my stats but I haven't done yet.
But yeh my major problems are stopping bunker rushes and late game my defending sucks a lot (I tend not to build too much sunkens/spores)

I don't really believe this part ~__~; If they are "good" players, they usually don't care about D/D+/C- rank at all, and wouldn't waste time altering stats to look less good, unless of course they have alot of trouble getting games because of people who watch stats or whatever.

Hmm.. care to elaborate on why you want this? o_o;

Really, the worst thing you can do while trying to improve is to care too much about your stats, and your loss streaks. Loss streaks happen to everyone; last season I hit an 11 game streak, dropping me from B to C+ lol.
But really, you need to make sure you analyze your replays after your losses, and understand why certain things happened. It's just like soccer; you can't really practice just by running around all day, because there are more skills involved than just that. In starcraft, you can't just play a fuckton of games if you're not understanding what's going on or why you're losing.

You can have multiple accounts per IP I think.... You just can't have them play against each other. As for not allowing clearstats. That would just make for tons of new account creation so it wouldn't really matter much.

Well I start from this:
1. Why would you need to clearstats? 2. You don't want to play anymore vs better players? 3. You care about better xx-0 scores? 4. You need fresh nickname because you are bored or just changed clan?
1. Is season too long or why then people do this? Now that they cant see your xx-xx scores I don't see point keeping this feature.
2. Why you need to start again playing vs bad players? lack of confidence?
3. Stop being smurf.
4. After allowing to change nickname whatever you want while keeping stats (your ID number of account is what matters) this should not be problem and unnecessary thing to make new account.

Clearstats ~ Some people come to iccup to train hardcore and get better, some people come because that's their team's main server (like myself), some people come to show off their stats. When someone hits a really big losing streak and doesn't feel like he/she deserved it (maybe this person was playing really badly, or just wasn't in the zone) and wants a fresh start. Some people play for 300 games in a season, get their practice out of it, and reset because the stats are ugly, and want to end the season with some good looking stats. I used to be guilty of this; I would reset stats or make a new account as soon as they stopped looking really good ~___~;
Multiple accounts ~ I don't know how this would effect people who share accounts, or your feelings on account sharing people, so you should elaborate on your feelings here.
Smurfing ~ Well alot of "good" people don't like being known when they are gaming. Example being: if NonY was practicing some experimental build which he doesn't feel confident in, and is still changing, he probably wouldn't want someone getting a win off of him, then showing the replay to all of his friends or submitting it to a replay site etc. Also, for stuff like WCG, you don't really want other people knowing the specific builds you're practicing for on certain maps.
~~~~~~~~~
Also, about getting better when you've hit a wall and can't seem to get past your current skill level, it's really good to have someone better than you comment on your replays, or just to coach you in normal conversation in the channel. Are you in a team currently? If not, it's really helpful to have other people around you that would help you out or watch your replays whenever you have a question.
Clearstats: That problem looks like everybody is telling me "don't care about stats" in this blog. So as me they shouldn't care about stats. Teams could show of how many individuals they have in certain rank now that there is limit on clearingstats. As for joining team, you could always make that team leaders requires you to take few qualification matches from older members and of course your recent rank tells something.
I agree shared accounts should be available for teams (perhaps 1 or 2 accounts per team) where team members could practice.
Smurfing, as now we would allow teams have shared accounts it would hard to tell who is playing and why. Of course some nolifes/fanatics could follow those account(s) progression
I'm normally guilty of using a dozen accounts and resets to play vs lower levels. Don't complain. It'll give you a chance to see how better players react to your build and show you what you need to be aware of. The reason to improve your rank is to play better players, if they come down to D and play you be grateful. That said, I've not reset once this season.
Of course some nolifes/fanatics could follow those account(s) progression I just don't see how the changing of these server commands would help anyone really. If you don't allow clearstats, there will be a wave of protest, and demanding that admins clear the stats manually. After the first month, people will realize that you can't do it anymore, then proceed to make new accounts instead of clearing stats. If the account number is restricted, people will get around it by simply changing IP's or asking other people to make accounts for them. Not allowing stats transfer doesn't really make much sense to me either.
I wouldn't want these things to go away just because you don't like playing against good people. Well guess what? Alot of low-skill players love playing against good people, because they learn more from them, and possibly get some tips from them after the game.
Of course none of this is to any offense to you, I just think it's a bad idea all around to remove these commands
