*watches warily for DTs.......* EDIT: Fuck, so I had to leave a game I was winning rather handily (just finishing off the other guy) cause had to run to class...apparently I alt+F4'd out and sooo now its not on my iccup record as a loss. Hope that doesn't count as disc abuse or something :-(.  | ||

/rant mode on: I hope you don't mind to do repetitive APM practise to get to the required 250 minimum, hope you don't mind being restricted to two BO's for every match-up either. Further, I hope you don't mind being frequently cheesed by Zergs, hope you don't mind being proxy-DTed by Protoss now and then. For if you care about something of the above-mentioned, you're entering a world of pain, which I, on the other hand, am about to leave.. Haha what? A terran player complaining about getting cheesed by ZERG? Oh man, zergs were getting bunker rushed EVERY game for like an entire year a while back. Also, a terran player complaining about lack of diversity.. Hm, maybe less than toss in todays game, but at least you have more openings than zerg! Lol, our points of view seem differ quite a lot Anyways, I'm not the man for cheese, so if there's some cheese, it will be me on the back-end of it. Interesting to see you saying, that Z has less options than T, because in my eyes, T is much more limited concerning unit choice and strategy choice as well. In TvZ, Z can viably open with 4/5-pool, 9-pool, 2 Hatch Lurker, 2 Hatch Mutalisk, 3 Hatch Lurker, 3 Hatch Mutalisk or even 3 Hatch Mutalisk into Ultralisk/Zergling to name them. Now compare this to Terrans viable options.. | ||

 I guess 2 rax normal play could be counted, I wish it was still the standard TvZ opening ;( 1 rax tech (vults or wraiths).It sucks that some of these builds have become, seemingly, less used in the last couple of years. | ||

Now compare this to Terrans viable options..Just cause most Terran players are robotic doesn't mean there's not plenty of openings. 3 rax sunken break, 1 rax expo, 1 rax acad fast attack, vults, 2 port wraith -> drops, fast dropship and acad, etc Of course not playing standard could make you lose. There's always the risk that an unorthodox opening could backfire and fuck you. There's also the chance it will own, which is why you do it. | ||

Believe me 80% of your z build get countered so badly at c- lvl. It's not even questionnable. And i know what i'm talkin' about. How do they get "countered"? You know, I could do some fucking all-in stuff all the time, but I'd really like to play some games that last longer than 10 mins... Edit : Zerg DOES have the less openings than the 2 others races. There's soooo many Terran openings so i won't mention them but you clearly said you lack of some cheeses strats. Not my fault if you do everytime the same build again and again. I really don't agree with you there. I never complained about not having any cheese BO's, because in fact, I do have some. That's not the point of the argument. I'm barely stating, that given you're opting for a really interesting, challenging and to a certain degree "fair" game, Terran's options for opening are severly cut down. | ||

Greetings, Executor. Though we all grieve for the loss of mighty EtherealDeath, we must find the resolve to carry on. He sacrificed himself to destroy the Overmind, but many Zerg still rage across our ruined homeworld. Without the Conclave to lead us, or the protection of our great fleets, it seems we must fend for ourselves. I loled | ||

Actually it's even more risky. Why ? Simply just think about what a T with only 1 base can do while wallin and get ready to shots those pesky overs that try to spot your cheese strat. While with zerg it gets easily countered by scv running around and more importantly : 2 scans. Hell even with one base he could get 2 scans before moving out to see what you're up to. This is just so easy to spot. Burrow glings ? Blah works only vs beginners. Lurks rush ? Easy to scout it. Mutas with 1 base ? Again easy to scout it. The only viable zerg's opening is Pool 5 oO There are not any others viables openings besides 3 hatches lurks or 3 hatches mutas. It's just ridiculous to say that Zergs have more openings than terran, unless you don't care about losing. | ||
