If you guys could all go to Netflix and watch some Sense8, I'd appreciate it. You don't have to follow the story, you can just put it in the background and mute it and go along your day on the interwebs. If you don't have Netflix you can create an account, the first month is free.
Last year Netflix decided to cancel Sense8 cause they didn't have enough viewership to justify the money they were putting into it. We then fought back against the machine and we (sort of) won, they made a 2h episode to have a conclusion to the series.
Despite that there's a scenario written for season 3 already, and I'd really like to see it. If there is a lot of viewership that can still happen.
You don't have much to lose in doing any of that do you? I have a lot to win, so I thought I'd just ask.

Interesting request. I've seen the series pop up on my suggestion list a few times. Can you share what you like so much about the series? Maybe you can convince me to go watch it proper  .

Sense8 is another Wachowski' (sisters who made the matrix) misfire. Just, if you disliked the bad stuff they did, you probably will dislike Sense8 too. I mean, they did make V for Vendetta and Speed Racer, but they also made Cloud Atlas and Jupiter Ascending. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This seems like a bit of an odd request to me. I mean, sure, if someone likes the series or think they might like it, they'll even watch it and become a fan. However, for folks with limited bandwidth and restricted download speeds, netflix will be eating away at both of those two. Anyways, best of luck!

I like it for mundane reasons, I like all the characters in it and the story has kept my interest. Besides the story has some J. Michael Straczynski behind it so I know it's likely to continue to be good, Babylon 5's dude is known for having his arcs for multiple seasons figured out.
I think it's unlikely that you end up liking everything in the show, it's a show that has a lot to say and goes in many directions, with many different genres of TV even. But besides the fact that I like everything and everyone, the show has many arguments for itself: it has a unique principle that allows for unique displays (be it action scenes or some different scenes, I don't want to be too specific). There are several things that this show can do that no other show will ever be able to, and I find all of these things interesting and refreshing. It's also very well done in terms of cinematography.
It's inclusive, which is a + for plenty of people (I'll mention it, it's secondary to the quality for me but I still get to say it).
BigFan: yeah fair enough. Ideally people would just watch the show but I thought it would be less demanding to just have it in the background; maybe it's not =) If it's too demanding people are not going to do it, which I guess is also fine.

I watched it a year ago. Decent show with some major flaws. Visually, it's amazing. But story-wise it gets really dumb in season 2. I liked the general idea and some of the characters.
If there's ever a show to put the "SJW" label on, it's this one. Didn't bother me at all, though.
Basically, it's propaganda in the tradition of Riefenstahl. Put some beautiful people into a nice scenery and overwhelm the spectator with EVERYTHING.
