Since some time i am sadly on WLAN.

Which had the following effects:
Can't play Dota 2 anymore due to lag/spikes and well... sucks.

BUT what also happened is, that Twitch became nearly unwatchable, it buffers or comepletly shuts down every 1-5 minutes. No matter the stream quality setting.
Strangely, all other players like the MLG-Player, Youtube and even Dailymotion still worked perfectly fine.

Now why was that? I still don't know, it seemed like Twitch would just stop sending me Data (i have absolutely 0 clue about networking and all that stuff).

How did i solve it?
I now just start some other stream on some other service and mute it... As long as the other stream runs, Twitch works like a charm on every setting.

Well.. I tought this could might help someone else so i wanted to share it.

That sounds like it's likely an issue with twitch's + Show Spoiler +

crappy

flash player. I've had problems with it for various reasons. Piping the stream directly to a media player with a well tested and cutting edge codec is one way to circumvent this. Livestreamer works well for this. It's just a commandline utility that rips the stream off the twitch site before it gets to the flash player, and plugs it into VLC. I made a firefox addon for myself, but it's not really portable at the moment.

Using livestreamer to view the streams on VLC works really well and if you want a good graphical user interface (GUI) I would sugest this one

Months ago my twitch was buffering like crazy, it came out of no where and was unwatchable. Long story short I eventually came to the conclusion my ISP was throttling Twitch. So I DLed Chrome and a plugin called Zenmate which proxies your shit. Suddenly zero lag at all even though my traffic was being routed to the UK.

Now days its fine for me on Firefox, but for a few months I had to do that.

i thought that was currently illegal in the US

ISPs would go around throttling certain sites to extort money. Oh sorry Netflix, looks like your shit is super laggy! Maybe if you paid us some money we can figure out why its so slow. They're total fucking scumbags.

Wow, that is so gross of the ISP to do, surprised that is in any way legal (or they're able to get away with it).

Anyway, thanks for the tip if it ever happens to me, as well as all the other suggestions in the thread.
